its strange how one man can have such an impact at one club, i know we all hate the slur but lets be honnest he does have a vey good looking CV and i dont think we will ever see that kind leadership again at any club, i wonder at any point he has ever thought of steping back in again

Unfortunately, they will always have the financial resources to compete. If those players were performing then it would be a big issue but they're not.
There is little strategic direction though and they are many years behind us in terms of football development. A few years out if the champions league and they start to lose their casual fan cash cow. Then it starts to get more and more interesting.
 
Was watching a bit of the world's most expensive haircut yesterday, and he had that 'lazy' trot thing going on that Yaya had. When he had to chase back he just didn't look interested - again, very Yaya like. He just doesn't have the threat to his game that Toure had for us.

The keeper leaving would be a big blow to them on and off the pitch. They can have all the money in the world but they can't keep buying new teams each summer
 
As the old saying goes be gracious to people on the way up. Because they are the same ones you meet on the way down.
Pity the swamp dwelling rag scum ignored it.
Hope plenty of knives are out for them on their journey.

Though the keeper leaving would be a loss, he is not irreplaceable. For most of us, their demise is a glorious adventure but I think it will be a long time before they reach an uncompetitive state in the premier league. By that I mean no hope atall of achieving CL qualification annually.

Their academy is a massive issue. It is uncompetitive and their recent success with Rashford was pure chance. We are light years ahead.

Without strong leadership and a sustainable and stretching long term plan, they will not be the success they were.
