It still makes me laugh how they ended up paying a record transfer for a player in a one horse race,

And me. The sheer absurdity of paying that sort of money for a player that they let go for peanuts just four years ago is simply staggering in itself. But they made matters worse by pretty much outbidding themselves for his signature. And on top of all that he isn't that good either.

Thank you rags, for giving me so much entertainment these past few years. Please, long may it continue.

Excellent.

Looking at the table now that we are a quarter of the way through the season you can see tings starting to take shape, one point to consider already is that after 10 games Us, Dippers and Arsenal have all won 23 points, if this level continued for the full season it would give a total of 87 - 88 points.

The rags have just 15 points so far, for them to get to 88 points they would need another 73 points from 28 games. So they would have to get an average of 2.6 points per game for the rest of the season. This means dropping no more than 11 points for the rest of the season and that just isn't going to happen.

Being 8 points behind 3 teams already means the 4th place is going to be very difficult to get and this year I can see maybe 72 points being required to get 4th. So they would be looking at having to get a minimum of 2 points per game from here in.

They are fucked already.
That's my kind of mathematics.

looking at their November fixtures and it's starting to looks really bad for them. They might get 6 points out of the next five games if they are lucky even Swansea away and west ham at home are a tricky ties

This has gone far enough. The game needs a strong rags and this continual underachievement is placing unnecessary commercial pressure on the viability of the Premier League product.

Time to get the GPC back as DoF overlord, coaching his protege and Maureen's immediate replacement - Family Guy.

Need a premier marketing wonk to promote it like this:

"The BPL - Greatest league in the world of Club football. The perfect product that has everything:

  • The best managers (Guardiola/Klopp/Wenger)
  • The most skillful players (Sanchez/KDB)
  • Controversy (PGMOL)
  • History (Liverpool)
  • Tragedy (Sunderland/Hull)
And let's not forget the Comedy coming from the fallen giants at Old Trafford...."

Now the rags are like most of their fans.

Below Watford!
You may laugh but I was travelling back up north yesterday, services on the M6 full of rags off to see a home match a long way from where they live, all smug ugly looking gits.

Still don't suppose they were that smug on the return trip.............wankers.

Actually despite having very little genuine cause, those fuckers are always smug.

It's why they become Rag " supporters " in the first place.......................as well as being braindead !

The thing that tickles me is the rags have to chase down not one but five teams that have a 7/8 point advantage over them and these 5 teams will have to have a horrendous dip in form at the same time to give the twats any chance of catching up. Can you see the rags going on an unbeaten run? No me neither. They are well off the pace. What a fuckin shame.

I know it's a bit early and still plenty of time for Pogba to come good, but still a good one to use at present (I used it last night to a couple of United friends).

What is the worst deal, is it losing him for free or buying him back for 90 million. I think he's worth 40 million max so for me this Summer was probably worse.

It's still very early to say, but if I was them it would be they have to catch up 7 points on at least 2 teams, who are arguably better. And there record against these teams are not good at present.

I think given wage bill, cost of squad etc. They are lucky to be just judged on top 4! If I'd signed of on those deals I would expect a title challenge!

You think he's worth £40m ? God ! You're easily pleased ;-)

You do know that it isn't a top four anymore and that it's now a top 8. And they are closer to the bottom 3 than they are to the top 3. And all to the tune of 180m ha ha ha ha. Is Mourinho a time traveller because he's taking them backwards.

The keeper leaving would be a big blow to them on and off the pitch. They can have all the money in the world but they can't keep buying new teams each summer
It would be a huge psychological blow as they know he saves them over a dozen points per season. They'll get another better than average keeper, but not one as good as De Donut Thief.
