Correct. Years ago I remember a friend, who was a very decent amateur footballer telling me about his team's pre-season tour of Germany. One of the players was the brother of former Everton defender Mike Lyons and it wouldn't happen now of course but Mike came with them & played a game or two with them.I think there are a few players who Marvin might have a point about. Careless mistakes due to lack of concentration is a matter of will/focus.
My mate said that what stood out was not his ability but his attitude. There were players in the team who were as good as him technically but he competed for every ball and was absolutely determined to win every tackle and header. Everton fans who saw him also said his commitment to the cause was total.
You could apply the same to the rags under Baconface. They weren't the most talented but they scrapped for everything, winning games when they played poorly. We're not winning games when we're playing well at the moment. I'm confident Pep will fix that but it will take time and there may be blood on the dressing room walls and casualties on the way.
