when sterling took on their left back he seemed to have the better of him but he only tried it once seemed keener to get the ball in the box. I wonder if that was intentional or fatigue related?
 
Best thing about today is that its the 3rd match in a row where we've pretty successfully killed the game after getting to the result we wanted - admittedly only for 10 mins v Palace but 30 mins or so Wednesday and today. Given the limitations of our back four that is is a real plus and something we've struggled with since Mancini's time.

One of the worst,biased set of 'pundits' ever. They came with a pre ordained,bitter,mealy mouthed commentary.

Francis is just one bitter,horrible,envious,nasally bastard & Savage is just thick & beyond parody.

We can't continue to defend like that,we'll get caught out eventually.

3 points... with four stars "rested", top of the league, no CL distractions for months so can concentrate fully on the PL, lots of time on the training ground and Gabby joining us too.

All the prematch and match thread posters are missing. We needed height/physicality today and you could see why.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people felt more nervous and therefore that we played worse than we did because of the shite BT commentary, the negativity gets to you even though you know exactly what they're doing. I turned to the NBC stream and then fucked that off too for some music and it was much better.
 
Under the circumstances.. CL midweek, players rested, abysmal ref... great 3 points

The second I think.

Pep took him off because of it I think but Sané bottled it again. He is a supreme talent for the future but right now he isn't good enough & if he doesn't improve soon we should consider another kid in his place.
