Horrible game but 3 points. Fernandinho is just bloody awesome. Game officials and commentary team equally bad. Pep needs to have a serious sit down with Otamendi. He could easily have cost us the game today he is like a blind drunk bull in a China shop.
Some of those free kicks given against Ottomendi are diabolical - the bodies clash in mid air - Burnley player goes to ground - ref says foul against City .

I'm talking overall. Yet another game without a clean sheet.
Top of the league and the 3rd best defence so far.
Yes they scored but they got the total sum of fuck all points for it, we got 3 and didnt drop any.
To sum it up, us conceding today meant fuck all, especially given it was a fantastic strike that no team in world football would have stopped.

Phew. We haven't played well for a while but this would have been a game we would have certainly lost of drawn last year. Improvements but we have a way to go. I love Pep but I do think he's changing the formation a little too often...

I'm so glad we stole 3 points there. Our defence is woeful. I've never seen defenders panic so much, how otamendi didn't get a pen against him I'll never know. Clichy & Sagna looked like rabbits in the headlights everytime the ball came to them and hoofed it.
We are so poor at direct play, all teams will be happy to let is piss about with it 40 yards from goal.
The penetration is missing yet again and always wanting to 'tap' the ball in.
IMO Sterling was awful.
However.... Winning at Burnley is no easy task. Let's take that and move on.

ot there in the end. Some mixed performances out there today. Fernandinho,Fernando and Otamendi were solid and of course Aguero was sharp around the 6 yard box. Was impressed with the battling attitude of the team. However, not sure whats going on with our wing play. Bought two speedy wingers who are void of any idea what to do with the ball. Thought Sterling was poor, infact he's done nothing really to change my mind that he's just an expensive version of Aaron lennon. Poor decision making and unable to cross a ball or take a decent dead ball kick.

Correct and Savage and Francis take on it was that Sagna tried to fool the referee and their was no contact. My favourite quote was Francis 'city don't care about the 'second ball' it never enters their heads'. What a clueless, ignorant wage thief that guy is.Boyd should've seen red too for a studs up karate kick (he missed) but stood on Sagna's ankle. This would be on a Sky loop by now if he was a blue.

Glad we got the 3pts, Burnley's plan was to punt the ball up all day, we was very disjointed but still got the job done, thought Fernandinho and Fernando did well in the middle, Auguero took the goals well, good result considering coming of a CL game plus having to back up playing so early today, so well done guys................
