No he isn't, he just is not a central defender in a back 3 playing alongside a central defender in Stones who is never a central defender

You can have a go at Zabaleta and Navas even Silva after today's game, but Kolarov at least caused leicester problems. Yes he was contiually caught out for pace so play him at left back, or alongside a proper central defender. Stones gave Vardy his hat-trick. He had an appalling game against Chelsea where he refused to make a tackle backing off and backing off and yet we're talking about Kolarov. It's always Kolarov.
 
So, 3 at the back again, have the bulk of possession and get torn apart by the brilliance of Watford's counter-attack? Fuck me backwards, I genuinely can't believe I'm dreading Thursday morning.
 
I've watched Watford twice this season (United and Everton at home) and they were excellent both times. Big strong fast and difficult to play against.

I'm actually dreading the game!

Did we ever dread a game in the 2011-2012 season?

Watford are a strong side this season, won't be easy - but back to what worked at the start of the season for me, goes without saying we need the win.

Marvin mate he's shit. Today was lost in four minutes - I just watched those four minutes again and suggest you do the same then come on here and defend him. Kolarov I add is a 31 year old international who has tons of experience yet rarely delivers, he should be running that defence for Gods sake - The mark of a truly good player is when they effect games at critical points - great goal yes but far too late, the game was gone in those 4 minutes. BTW I love Silva and thought he was terrible today and I think maybe Pep is trying to be too clever in fitting the pieces together i.e. Silva,Gundogan and DeBryune.

Silly as it seems they have been inconsistent following decent results with poor ones hopefully the same applies weds,but you just don't know how we will perform never mind the opposition..

Spot on ! Watford are a strong, physical and very skilful team. Troy Deeney is a bull at CF and Arabat a very tricky right winger. We will be physically outmatched at every set piece and dead ball. I fear another difficult evening. Deeney has been stuck on 99 league goals since October...guess what's coming next...?

What a dynasty & legacy we could've had. Four years & £Millions wasted to be arguably worse off because the gap that existed then has now narrowed & everyone else is more competitive

We tried that at the start of the season and it didn't work too well, we only won 10 on the bounce.

It'll be the tried and tested 3 at the back again.

1-1 vs watford Wednesday. Lose against Arsenal on Sunday.

Have no confidence at all in the team at the minute.

The biggest mistake the owners have made since the takeover. Instead of those names we got Garcia, Rodwell and Sinclair

What did Silva do? Or Stones? Navas? Loads of players who played a lot worse than Kolarov.

Kolarov is slow, but it's not his fault he plays in such an advanced role. What's he supposed to do against the likes of vardy when they play the ball over the top? He can't possiby out run him. He couldn't do that 5 years ago. You should be asking questions of the coach. And also the stupid players who got themselves sent off last weekend.

He was directly culpable for the first goal....its getting to a point where its nearly every game. He steps up too high and lets yhe defender in behind......every game. The third goal as well os on him. He is ball watching and takes his eyes off vardy and doesnt track him. His passing was also awful

I agree its on pep but kolarov is am absolute liability...his goal and assist are meanigless unless he concentrates on defending

I want him gone and never again in a city shirt but ive felt like that for at least 2 seasons so i can and i will have to put up with this one as well.

Fully agree on all of that....when pep tried to shoehorn that extra midfielder in and so went 3 at tje back was the start of what we are seeing now
