Burnley - Post match thread

Pep "I will be at Manchester for the next three seasons, maybe more, but I am arriving at the end of my coaching career, of this I am sure."

Pep: "I will not be on the bench until I am 60 or 65 years old. I feel that the the process of my goodbye has already started."

Jesus. Just what you want your manager to say after a battling performance like that! If its three seasons, he needs to get his arse in gear.

Great win when it was looking pretty bleak after the sending off, another brain fart from Fernandinho, I've never understood the absolute love-in here on BM for the guy, to me he's always been a walking red card and it has come home to roost this season big time...
Nacho let himself down, gets the opportunity to show what he can do and fluffs his lines again....
Good performances from most at the back, solid from Ya Ya, inconsistent from KDB and Sterling at times
Appalling performance from Mason, Arfield should have been off for 2 bad challenges, that thug Ward clobbered Silva and not even a foul. Got to hand it to the blues today, really battled for that win.

I'll be amazed if Pep sees past his current contract, I think he's seen enough already to know he's fighting a losing battle

He is pissed off right now but im convinced we will get more that 3 years out of him.

If we are his last job then fine but i think he will be here a while yet.

I understand.....
YaYa hasn't always been on my favorites list either
I just thought he played well
Qualify that however you like

No I'm agreeing he played well but sadly these types of games are the best we can hope for with him. Liverpool showed that against better opposition he's just not quick enough

Honestly the first thing I'd do if I was Vicky Kloss or whoever would be to stop serving the horrible bastards 5 star food and to literally give them a packet of ASDA's own brand ready salted crisps and a plastic cup of room temperature water.

While the referees are not accountable they will continue to get away with guessing some of the 50/50 decisions. Thought he was very poor and seemed to give us nothing.

Video referees must come into play eventually. Doesn't slow up other sports and takes away the guesswork.

I'm convinced football is fixed. For what other reason would there still, in 2017, be no video technology? Every other sport has been dramatically improved by its introduction.

Hate to use him as an example but ferguson used this sort of tactic for years with good effect and it worked for mourinho in his early years at chelsea. Maybe we should create a siege mentality and stop playing the medias silly games.
Very much so. Ferguson stopped talking to the BBC for years. Respect is a mutual thing and these fuckers are worthy of none from us at the moment.

Where you from kidda ?
Born and lived in Cheetham Hill till I was 7, then dad moved to Bradford due to his work. Here everyone supports the rags or Liverpool but my old man made sure I didn't fall victim to either of those two cults!

Mike Dean playing a blinded against west ham so far. Makes you wonder why so many important decisions go their way. Money talks?

Video technology would only be as good as those using it. It's the game overall that's the problem.
Having someone else look at decisions wouldn't cure much. IMO.

Great battling win. Real team performance. Kolarov and Otamendi brilliant at back. Burnley no 25 got Fernandinho sent off and Bravo was fouled for their goal, but still we won

I certainly understand why he'd say that.

He enjoys the opposite at City than he did at Barca where officialdom is concerned.
