I will be absolutely devastated when Merlin 'hangs up his boots' ,or worse still maybe leaves us to go play elsewhere.
Colin was the king but David is now the best player we've had in my lifetime , IMO of course.
 
Looks so so so much more fitter, quicker and agile than a year ago.

And for the record Yaya pips him based on his goal record
 
Said it a million times but I'll say it again.
Beat player I've seen in a city shirt ever by a million miles.
We really have to treasure every game we get to see him play.
I think if we're lucky he will be here two more years it'll be a sad day when he leaves
 
Silva is immense, fact and it will be a sad day when he retires. When we have so much possession he is the one player that will link the forwards and scare the opposition to death. I think when Jesus and Sane hit their straps he will have even more options. David has never given the club one ounce of trouble and from all accounts is a top bloke which makes me like him even more. For 24m probably the best value for money of any of the signings in the last seven years.
 
Been our best player this season. I think he's beautiful to watch. Dead silky, smooth player. A joy to have watched him at this club for these six+ years. Let's hope we win a few more trophies with him in the side, he deserves it.
 
As I mentioned to one of the more minor posters on here over a beer recently, as he doesnt rely on pace or power at all, he could easily go on as long as the ginger pig did. Hopefully at least a couple more years with us before returning home for a couple of years.
