The speed of the attack is becoming the key problem, at the start of the season we attacked with pace and had early shots, now we build up much more slowly, in fact we resemble last season's team. What has changed?

Odd that people 'fall out of love' with the game when things are going bad. They also don't like the money in the game anymore. Wasn't a problem when we got taken over in 2008 though.

See you later guys!

Basically we have some shit players with no heart

I've said it for a while, but for a top team we have a awful lot of average players who wouldn't get into any of the other squads. We also have some very sensitive types who you wouldn't want next to you in the trenches!

Weird isn't it - the pundits have been saying until very recently that we have the best squad and could still win the league.

It starts with the keeper; if the opposition score with virtually every shot on target, time to change. I'm not saying Caballero is the answer, nor Joe Hart necessarily, but, it definitely isn't 'mini-me' Bravo.

If we get stuffed by Spurs similarly to the Everton game - which is very possible - the sh1t will hit the fan.

At the start of the season we saw very pronounced tactical changes e.g. inverted full backs against Sunderland but then a flat back 4 against United when Mourinho had hedged his bets on us playing the inverted full-backs. It kept teams/managers guessing and it made us unpredictable. Pep looked like he would provide the tactical nous that the team had been missing under Pellegrini. That has all stopped and other than us keeping the ball better, I don't see a huge difference from last season. We are slow and predictable and unfortunately opposition managers are finding Peps Man City relatively easy to nullify.

Is Pep for turning? Or is he a one system monkey, reputations do nothing for me, it's all about what is best for City.
For his system we need young players like Spurs. Not sure how he will like Europa league football, because the way he has us playing that is where we will end up unless teams ahead of us start dropping points. That's the reality of being wedded to one system. City are what's important, and not someone's reputation. I am not going to start on Bravo, Hart all day long for me.

I'm sick of watching sterling his whole game revolves around not contributing anything to the team diving for a hopeful penalty & panicking every time he goes near the goal.sane should be playing before him

Yes, everyone seems to have forgotten the entirity of his last season.
And I am a big mancini fan. But face it, we have an issue with the squad, especially with our two best central midfielders and best defender missing.
Pep is learning the hard way give him time and trust his judgement we need a clear out to rebuild a team to play against a mixture of different teams styles of play

Pep has not improved the team one bit. You could argue he has made it worse with the goalkeeping fiasco. If the team were looking for inspiration yesterday, they were certainly getting none from the bench, sat with his head staring down at the ground. 1 subsitiution in a game where we were struggling? I dont give a flying fuck what he achieved for Barca or bayern(he never equalled the old man he replaced theres achievements either) its what he does for city that matters and on the evidence so far that amounts to sweet fuck all.

I see it differently. We have decent players, great manager and we know what we want to play. How can you blame the manager for the Everton loss? Is he on the pitch? Is he missing all the chances? Is he defending and making mistakes? No he is not. We struggle badly with confidence. We cannot buy a goal and we make mistakes in the back. It will change. Question is when? It is extremely demanding on the players. We play reasonably well, create chances and than the opposition attacks and scores with the first shot on the goal. Heads go down. All becomes 10x harder. You cannot pass, you cannot think clearly, you want to but cannot. It could have been 4:0 to City have we been awarded the penalty in the first half. Or have we scored from our chances. Or anything else. We will see how good a motivator Pep is now. To dig them out of the hole they are in at the moment. Jose did it with the scum, I am sure Pep can get that too. We need to 2-3 decent results. Silly 1:0 wins. Deflected goal or anything to get the confidence higher. Onwards and upwards.

Agreed. There is something moe than just having old players or crap players. These same players tore strips out of Barca and Arsenal yet they fell apart against Everton. Am convinced there is something more to it than just buying new players.

Have to say, I thought the City fans were great yesterday. I was sat in the home end (I know, long day) and got a great view of you lot. Even at 3-0 you were still outsinging the Everton fans.
