There was very little headline coverage given to the "illegals" comment, or indeed "obsolete" NATO, or "powerful Merkle", it was all about the pretty please trade deal where he in fact evaded the direct question by replying "you're doing great, you're doing really great". This was reported on Sky News website as an evasive answer and then surprisingly replaced later by the Don promising "quick" free trade deal.
You need to read a little more.

So do you think we will be able to get a trade deal between the US and the UK quite quickly?

Absolutely, very quickly. I’m a big fan of the UK, uh, we’re gonna work very hard to get it done quickly and done properly — good for both sides. I will be meeting with [Theresa May] — in fact if you want you can see the letter, wherever the letter is, she just sent it.
She’s requesting a meeting and we’ll have a meeting right after I get into the White House and it’ll be, I think we’re gonna get something done very quickly.

So yeah he 'evaded' the question.

Any how, there is something in the interview that may effect us sooner than any trade deal and thats the fact he says there will be

travel restrictions for Europeans

Not sure if he is just talking about mainland Europe.

His FIRST response was evasive - Sky news reported it as such.
He was pressed repeatedly by Gove ( who's sole purpose was to to get a response to this question) to which he gave the reply above. To me it sounds like the typical response of a second hand car salesman who'll "do you a good deal".
The bit about May and the letter is laughable.
He obviously has no idea of the timescales and complexities of the deal and if he doesn't lose interest he will try to screw us. ( look at the objections on here to the EU/US TTIP deal and that was in Obama's time!).
Still it was good propaganda for the Government ( you obviously fell for it).

As an outsider looking in I would put up another argument, without the right to bare arms you would not have the other freedoms under the constitution you do now.

You can look at the UK as an example of how governments erode rights you though were set in stone, do you really think we have "Free speech" or is it just what we are allowed to say, we are the most government monitored country in the world (And that includes all the totalitarian ones) "For our own safety", we now have to ask permission to demonstrate and are told when and where we may or may not do it.

Our laws have been removed, corrupted, or watered down to the point that the rich hold all the cards in courts that have become fat cat clubs using the police as enforcers*.

The uproar from your anti gun lobby whenever there is a shooting is made nonsense by one simple fact, most if not all these mass shooting take place where the strictest gun controls are, in other words all they have done is created a safe space for the shooter.

Far from it being a threat of "Violent revolution" its a warning that those rights having been paid for in blood will be defended.

*The police were created to protect the public yet are now little more than collecting agents for the DVLA (A private company), carry out forced repossessions on behalf of private financial institutions and enforce an ever growing list of government dictates.

Great post, always makes me laugh when people call the UK a country with free speech, and democratic is the work of pinnochio as well.

Surely it would be in the interests of the Orange One to get a quick trade deal? After all, we have no negotiators, so if his Goldmann Sachs bullies can't stitch up Liam Fox, it will be truly embarrassing for him!

Whether it will be good for us is anybody's guess.

My worst fear is that he tries running a country like a corporation. Corporations cut adrift the bits that are unprofitable, and that is an unacceptable way to run a country.

Its truly a two edged sword though, while you can argue his good for business ideals lets in the GS brigade he is very bad news for the bureaucrats that constantly create more powers for themselves.
The law backed up by the constitution (Of which DT is a big advocate) can keep the money boys in check, while the paper pushers undermine the laws to grab power, an lets just remember that the paper pushers victims are very rarely big business.

Trouble is he'll have to wait till April 2019 before negotiations can start and then the process and final approval will have to go through the Senate.
Earliest date for finalization will probably be 2022 unless he's lost interest( or not in post) by then.
Make sure you've gone veggie by then unless you like your chicken washed in chlorine and your beef injected with hormones.
Also take out private medical insurance as those American health care companies will have their beady eyes on the NHS.

It's banks like GS and their peers that have consistently pushed their customers to outsource jobs to other countries and backed the US multi-nationals that have profited from their connections with the political establishment, which is populated by former GS executives. How has the Constitution kept them in check?

But its always the paper pushers who think up ways for them to get away with it, watch any of the senate oversight committee hearings and time after time its bureaucrats ignoring or rewriting regulations that let them get away with shit.

Then look at who bureaucrats do go after, its rarely big business anyway but the little guy gets constantly hammered at every turn by some paper pushing c*nt with their hand out.

He avoided the 'will we be at the front of the queue' question, rightly so as we wont.
Not the 'pretty please trade deal' question
You fell for Sky News propaganda

Given that Obama failed on gun control etc and that Trump won't have the undying support of both houses then all this rhetoric about 35% import tariff threats on German cars made in Mexico and walls paid for by Mexico will Trump actually be able to do any of this?

If not is that the revenge being got in before the tackle comes - ie he is setting up the blame that its other fault he can't do what he promised before he even gets in office?????

I think The Donalds first military action will be against Whangdoodles, Hornswogglers and Snozzwangers

These feckers have been eating Trumpa-lumpas for years

Interviewed by Michael Gove today and it seems Trump made a fool of Gove. Gove has just been on Newsnight where Evan Davis made him look like a chump - called one of his answers "the poorest answer he had ever heard " from him............. Michael Gove made to look a fool by those two puts his towering intellect into perspective eh?

Meantime Trumps criticism of the Iraq war and Merkel not going down well here and in Europe - Hollande telling him to butt out of Europe's issues. Nice to see world leaders getting along...
