Its not that he does that much wrong, he just isnt making the saves that a top keeper should make now and then that make the difference.

We dont expect Aguero just to score from tap ins. We expect him to score the occassional goal like the one against Burnley. We dont expect Silva & De Bruyne to just keep possession, we expect the odd defense splitting pass from them. Similarly we should be able to expect our keeper to make a few saves from shots that he could be forgiven for letting in. Not necessarily every match, just now and then.
So,i'll ask again, other than the 3rd goal, which was a fuck up......what did he do wrong Sunday?

Fair enough, but I never looked at him as a top keeper to be honest,as for listening to him,I try to ignore what he and other ex City players tend to say about us,and his other pals off BT for that matter

Yet you'll listen to Carragher?

Are you saying Carra was a top keeper so his opinion counts for more ?

No,so no need to be sounding smart, you know, well at least I hope you do,he wasn't a keeper, but playing over 500 games like he did,he has seen his fair share of keepers abilities over the years, and is in a fairer position than you or I to make judgement as good as himself, and even though I don't pay much attention to these pundits at times,he is spot on about this clown we have in our goals, and so does the rest of the football world for that matter

Breed panic.
Our defence is terrible and panicky but it was like that last year with Joe behind them too. Basically the defending at our club has been massively in decline since the day Mancini left and the direction the club chose to go was one that didn't value defending enough. I'm not particularly defending Bravo, we may as well have a stump in goal for all the shots he saves but to lay the lack of composure in our defending at his door is not right. I honestly think we could have Neuer in goal and while it would obviously make some difference because he's a far better keeper, we'd still look an absolute panicky shambles when being counter attacked.

Nothing, the issue is he isn't doing enough right.

I agree with what Cibaman says, the type of goals he's letting in aren't easily saveable but you expect a top keeper to save one of them every now and again.

I don't agree with Carragher when he lists off the keepers that would save that, they wouldn't, not always anyway, every now and again they do and that's what sets them apart.

Weird thing is, as I've said before Bravo is capable, he's proved that in La Liga and at international level. His confidence just seems at rock bottom, helped of course by the lovely warm welcome he has received from the City faithful.

I don't really need to try to sound smart where your "reasoning" comes into play now do I ?

If he plays against Spurs get behind him. He is capable but never been this exposed before. He should have saved some of the goals but others hes had no chance. He has been well below par which wasnt helped in the circumstances he arrived.

It only takes one game to turn confidence around. He'll be peppered against Spurs, lets hope he shows his quality.

Isn't doing enough right ? - You can say that again

Type of goals he's letting in aren't easily saveable ? -Look back at all this seasons highlights were we have conceded, you will soon change your mind

Carraghers comments - Yes in the main, the other top keepers would save most of them,at least you agree Bravo isn't a top keeper

Warm welcome from City faithful ? - That is ridiculous,he was given full support right from the off, even though it was a shellshock for a huge majority, but why is 2/3 of the ground shitting it when there is a shot against us ? I'll tell you why,it's because it will end up in back of our net more often than not

Read it, and I'm still baffled. You'll listen to Carragher over someone that played the position.
I don't think making a cohesive argument is his strong point, having said that I thought changing the keeper was very low on my list of priorities in the summer and Bravo hasn't exactly filled me with confidence

Should get down to the first it's a side foot decent height, he has a clear view and it's fairly central. He got megged for the 4th.

It's from the same distance as a penalty with plenty of pace,he had gone to the near post because Mirallas had got in behind on that side, when it was squared he moved back central and couldn't shift his body weight to get down in time, happens all the time even to the best of them.

We're on the same page, I was of the same opinion in the summer.

I think lots of people are blaming him if he doesn't make a brilliant save, it's not totally fair but he's getting the stick mainly because he is making pretty much no saves whatsoever. Mind you, plenty were giving him stick even at the point when he was still playing ok. Burnley away he had a decent enough game and all I heard around me was people criticising pretty much everything he did, even when he was making saves they didn't seem to be good enough saves. He is playing badly now though, no doubt and I can't help but feel some blues have got their wish with that.

It's quite simple to sort this out.

Drop him. Play willy for 5 games. See where we are then.
If we still ship almost 4 goals a game then we hold our hands up and say he's as good as we have and put him in for his footwork. It's no better than willy's but the bravo happy clappers will be pleased.
My guess is we'll win all five games.

I won't change my mind, I have looked back plenty trying to figure out why people are so critical.

Stop putting words in my mouth, I said top keepers save them every now and again, then went on to say Bravo has proved he is capable in the past.

Nothing ridiculous about it, his name has been booed when read out, he's met with groans when a player passes to him and recently he's been sarcastically applauded when catching a ball.

Agree 100%.
