I assumed Taiwan would have given their situation.

Sadly, I don't think the cost in Chinese lives would feature highly on China's list of important factors if it got to that point - they'd just do it and lie to their people.
The "Taiwan Relations Act" which is a US act of congress requires the USA to intervene militarily if China invaded. Whether this will be affected by Trump remains to be seen.

the area was a war zone ,it wasn't Chinas anymore, the USA restored peace and then maintained its military presence
it would be far different from say the Crimea, if China made a move ,the USA would react

Who decreed it wasn't China anymore. It was always China. It still is. Even Tuawan accept reunification but nit under communism. Time is on China's side. They won't invade. Especially with the Trumoeteer in office as he is such a fanny they know they inky have four years to wait, or less hopefully.

The US won't support military action and massive casualties to defend a country that itself wants to reunite given certain guarantees.

They will wait. As they did with us in Hong Kong.

Why would you need to invade a country that wants to unite
Clearly they don't want to unite unless changes occur in China, and that's not going to happen
The situation in Hong Kong was different again and the treaty for British rule was for 99 years I think
It wont ever be easy for China to retake the island originally called Formosa

I saw a Mexican politician on the BBC or Sky news earlier pointing out that NAFTA was a 2 way street and that Trump needs to recognise that the benefits between Mexico and the US are nigh on 50/50.

So many jobs drained away that the US economy put on an average of 100k+ jobs per month under Obama and unemployment fell from 11%+ to just under 4% which in economic terms is considered full employment

The numbers you posted are inaccurate by any source I have ever seen. Though the gist of your comments remains true.

The trade deficit with Mexico has gone up considerably since NAFTA was started. It is true that the US exports more to Mexico than ever, however if you look, a lot of that (value wise) to this point has been machinery that increase Mexican production of goods that come back to the US. As for the unemployment rate, it is currently at 4.6 or close to it. That is what is reported. Actual rate is over 10% and if you take out the people that have to date only been able to get a part time job, that number is closer to 15%. I don't care who the President is, after 8 years in office following the worst recession since the Great Depression is a great way to have numbers like what you stated. Unemployment was at 7.8% when he took office. He stated that if Congress would give him 825 billion dollars unemployment wouldn't pass 8%, but of course it went to over 10%. The unemployment rate has dropped well below the historical norm, but long-term unemployment remains higher than at the start of the Great Recession. There is a reason that Obama never oversaw a single year of 3% growth. That is the benchmark requirement for the US to continue to pay its bills. Obama's regulation increases are a primary reason.

I saw a report today that CBS* had footage of Trump having taken a cheer squad to Langley.
The top CIA bods sat listening and all turn to the whooping cheering bunch to one side.
I can't imagine that this really impressed the CIA - neither can I imagine the CIA heads whooping at anything much.

*I don't know if CBS are part of the leftie pinko commie liberal alliance against alternative facts.

He brought a bunch of his own people, but it wasn't "cheerleaders" as in hot women in skimpy clothing. It was a group of Trump campaign supporters. Still bad form, but not as bad as the headlines would suggest.

Ha, that amused me. Yes, I gathered they were dressed appropriately, and they weren't described as cheerleaders in the report - that was me.
Not even Trump would do that at Langley.

In fact, it's pretty baffling that he'd do what he did at Langley.

He's just signed an executive order to advance the Dakota access pipelines, you have to give it to the guy he doesnt give a fuck and doesnt care who knows it

I completely agree. I doubt he goes to Langley much during his time in office. Hopefully once he gets his cabinet in place, things like this will be less likely to happen.

Just been on CNN saying the proposed settlement new housing in Israel causing a bit of a stouchie, that the bold Donald contributed to it in 2003.

Not exactly a surprise that Amayahew went ahead and announced it.

He's holding true to his campaign platforms so far...

That's the easy stuff.

Waiting for the wall and Mexico to agree payment.

The ban on Muslims.

Expelling 13million illegals.

Destroying ISIS

Replacing Obamacare with something terrific.

After all it wasn't a pipeline, or reducing environmental stuff that got him elected

The above did, so let's see how he progressed after the shoe in policies run out.

Why not spend his first dats addressing his main campaign pledges?

He won't do the first three at all and he will fuck up healthcare for millions.

Corporations will make millions though. That's his first concern.

Hope he's the 1st president to put a man on mars
That would be cool if he invested in NASA, they get 1% of what the military sucks up. Every American i know will refer to it at some point as 'our over funded military' or intimate that point if ever discussion like that arises. Stuff like in 2011 the military spent 25 billion, yes billion that's not a typo; on air conditioning for tents. That was more than NASA's entire budget. They piss money like confetti and it never ever dries up.

Imagine what NASA could do with those budgets reversed, i would even pay some tax to the US government for it as it helps all man kind.

been reading about that and apparently the majority of the pipeline is now in place. it was only a few places, in particular a lake where there was protest. i dont agree with it. it looks like hes actually sticking to his campaign promises, which is quite rare for most politicians.

Watch him take credit for defeating ISIS in Mosul. After all, he knows more than the generals.

The wall isn't something he can do without congressional support. Plus without some more members of his cabinet, it will be tough. As for Mexico paying for it, there are many ways they can pay for it without them writing a check.

The ban on Muslims is something that will be an interesting play. I really don't know if that can be executive ordered. The ban was never going to be all Muslims, it was going to be a ban from certain Muslim countries. I would assume that can be done via homeland without congress, but I'm not certain.

Expelling all the illegals was never going to happen and he softened his stance on that between the primaries and the general election. He landed on expelling those that committed crimes. Considering the criminal element, he needs to have his Attorney General in place. I think this will move forward quickly.

Obamacare replacement was always going to be a full load. But he has started work on the initial steps of repeal or at least defunding it.

As for healthcare, it is already fucked up. While millions more now have insurance, it is basically worthless. So what if a person that makes $20K a year has insurance? If it is a high deductable plan (the plans that are paid for with tax dollars are all high deductible) doesn't change whether or not the person can see a doctor nor if they can pay for it. It really only helps if the person has a very costly illness. But to a person with zero money, what is the difference between owing $5K and $500K? Neither one will get paid. The Dems won't work on anything to make it better as long as Obamacare exists. They've already said that. So the only way the GOP can move forward is put gas to the fire and let it explode due to lack of funding.

Fortunately for the GOP they have health care. So don't give a fuck.
