I agree, it really makes you wonder what goes on doesn't it.
I can't remember a president getting elected to such uproar and derision, you would think that we had a clear plan for how we were going to play this out over the first couple of months until we really understood the lie of the land but if this is the best that we could come up with them I am worried about the future.

Trump's recent order goes far beyond that to an actual ban.what Trump did was issue an executive order, which requires only Presidential authority. What Obama did was sign a bill into law, and then execute the bill.
Maybe its not the substance its the style - Obama wasn't so outwardly aggressive to all and sundry so it wasn't what he did it was the way that he did it to misquote the song

Not sure if it's been suggested already but I'd imagine Trump will claim to be both a New York City fan and a Manchester City fan at some point this year. I bet he just loved the Sheikh.

I think to be fair to Trump he sees beyond a person's religious background (when they are multi-multi-billionaires with interests in NY).The Sheikh is Muslim so Trump will automatically dislike him.
