I completely agree. Unfortunately, some people have no idea. Who needs a free trade deal with the $18trillion US market anyway?
Yes we all all waiting in US to pay $50 for a shirt manufactured in UK which currently costs $10 made in China. Also we are looking forward to paying 20% tax on all produce and liquor coming through Mexico. Hope Theresa is going to setup a some new plants here and offer a job at double my salary so I can afford all this.

A lack of tech companies?

Hehe yeah that would be a slight issue. look at Hull now though and how KCOM is keeping skilled IT guys in the area after finishing uni in the city. Google is building a new UK hq, OVH is building 3 new data centres, so is equinix.Going of what the big bosses of tech firms have said brexit is not much concern to them tbh. Unless the government totally abandoned investing and pushing IT stuff we are fine. It would also take the rest of the world upon brexit saying we don't want to do business with the UK.

tk;dr tech is fine here regarding brexit, we need to keep pushing though as other countries are to.

- after years of smooth Obama doing very little, America now has a leader with a vision and who seems to know how to implement and execute that vision. In four years time will he be an American hero or will he fall flat on his face and be kicked out? Right now nobody knows, except of course the condescending, superior, left wing progressives. Whatever happens, God save us from them.
Ok, so the way you replied makes it impossible for me to respond to the interspersed comments you posted, but they got progressively more right wing in nature, which is disappointing. I refer you to your last few sentences, which did copy over. Bravo.

As to your notion that Trump is a visionary, I have no serious answer to give you other than I despise his so-called vision, as annunciated to this point and I will have to invoke Godwin's Law and state that millions of people goosestepped to Hitler, too! Bannon has already told the media to shut up and color, while Spicer has said don't like it leave. You can almost hear the echo of the hobnail boots on the cobbles, can't you?!

Did you know his hero, his father, was arrested at a Klan Rally? Do you know anything about his past? He is a bad man and a nincompoop to boot!

American hero? Err, OK, let's revisit that. As for the next four years, let's hope we all survive it without too much pain...or sturm und drang.

You take care, as I think we were done as soon as I read your response to the economics comment, but I kept reading. Didn't get any better. Sorry.

Agree 100%

It's not just liberal elites. It's conservative elites too. And it's not just elites. It's members of the establishment. How are the terms "elite" and "establishment" defined? By those who are truly hurting, it's those who have ignored yawning income inequality in pursuit of profit/ambition that doesn't include them.

To those that would exploit those who are hurting -- like my President and his ilk -- the elite and the establishment are defined as anyone who disagrees with them. About anything. And not only are they the elite and the establishment, they are another e-word: enemies.

I wondered how long it would take before he got dragged in to it :)

That's the idea, as imports become more expensive UK production and UK workers become more competitive, demand for them increases as will wages providing immigration is controlled, Offshoring suits big business and multi nationals but not UK workers who need good jobs that are well paid here. There is a reason wages for many UK workers have not risen since 2008 and huge numbers of us are working for min wage, low pay or part time, A world min wage of at least £4 an hour for workers producing UK imports and controls to ensure factories are up to UK standards would be a good start as would a 10% increase in all import tariffs where a free trade deal does not exist. As for free trade deals, they make no sense to me where we have a significant trade deficit with a nation ie China.

Fuck me mate calling her the appeaser is ridiculously naive.

Alternatives? (A) brave PM who deserves respect for trying to ameliorate the disastrous economic effects of Brexit by humiliating the UK and the Queen by offering Trump a state visit in order to get some sort of deal that will let dodgy American meat into the UK, or (B) lickspittle

Some fat little rat on GMB is trying to talk for the public. "Look at the British people who don't want him here". Fucking fat gimp. Once again, look at the silent majority. Something you should be familiar with now you loopy lefty ****.

George W Bush - 978
Barrack Obama - 758
Donald Trump -7

Question - what is the relationship between the above mentioned USA presidents and the numbers shown against their names?

Answer - the number of days between their inauguration and their invitation to a state visit.

Grovel Teresa ( minus the 'h') , grovel.
I thought it was the number of days after their Inauguration that each President first turned their approval ratings to a negative number! At least, that's what it was for Trump!

First of all, excellent use of the keyboard. 9/10 for that.
Not really sure what the point of your link was. I'm surmising that you you did a google search and only read the headline. Perhaps a little more focus on the content in future?
But a good effort at whataboutism to deflect from the issue of Britain's conduct towards refugees being worse than Trumps.

Is it time to combine the Trump / EU threads if being pro-Brexit means being pro-Trump? Pointless anyway - by the time of a state visit, Trump will be too scared to leave the States for fear of a bloodless coup. (Or fear of the Pinochet scenario - arrest for crimes against humanity; admittedly the only one I can think of at the moment is the way he's "disappeared" so many Washington officials.)

Don't understand all the shock at his cunty policies. It's only what he said he'd do in his campaign, and the folk feigning tears and anger are the same ones who a week ago were criticising him for not following through on the pre election promises such as the wall and the travel ban.

One word: Inflation.

Hope you don't have home or credit debt.

You do like and insult don't you, but you're right it's not comparable trump has only held a few hundred up at airports whereas Sweden has stopped thousands coming in
Sweden hasn't stopped anyone coming in. If you had bothered to read the article the answer was there all along!
Sweden’s new asylum regime will apply for three years. Temporary residence permits will be granted to all refugees apart from those relocated to Sweden under the EU’s quota scheme and families with children and unaccompanied children who have already arrived.
Those exceptions receive permanent residencey permits, btw. The UK only offers temporary residence permits on arrival, even to unaccompanied minors who then face deportation once they turn 18 - despite this being in contradiction of the UN convention on the rights of the child.

At least we can be thankful that Therese understands the concept with glass houses and stones.
