Decision to drop the AZ vaccine from the booster programme is almost entirely petulance on the part of the Gov. based on AZ's decision to select a non-UK site for their new manufacturing facility.
Even before COVID a PCR test would cost in the region of £200-500. Yes the materials needed are fairly cheap but PCR tests from preparation to results take 2-4 hours, have to be done by a skilled scientist and then there are logistical costs.
Haven't seen for myself but assuming you're correct, called it:
Not even related to COVID either.
Pfizer have been designing poor roots to APIs for years and it's biting them in the arse. The world is about to pay for it.
Perhaps in a clinical setting, many recreational users prefer 16G to get the large volumes in more easily.
Just a thought more about the trauma suffered by the muscle. I know that they are quite sensitive to angle and force and I've known PIP to last 2-4 weeks. The pain can be debilitating too.
Has there not been any mention of post-injection pain? It's very common in people who inject steroids (medicinal or recreational...) but I've never heard of it lasting such a long time. Also steroids are delivered with a much larger bore of needle so I'd have attributed it to that.
I've had a glance over the terms of the EUA from the MHRA and I can't see anything that I haven't been expected to include in a formal submission. If anything the EUA dictates a more stringent release protocol (individual batch release assessments).
The FDA are definitely not one of the most...
I'm not sure why you put more stock in what the FDA will say.
Spoiler: they won't say anything, they'll just make a generic statement about the authorisation status.
