I think playing Madrid away is a completely different beast from playing them at home. It’s always difficult to go there and a point is usually a good result.
Up until we scored I thought we were incredibly poor. However, once we scored we were the better side. The fact we ground out a result...
Cherki has been impressive so far. You can see he has the technical ability to demand the ball and keep it under pressure.
Would like to see more of that from Foden.
Well deserved to be fair.
I cannot believe how bad this tactical set up as been. You either keep it tight at the back and give up the attacking threat, or take risks up top and leave yourself more exposed at the back.
We’ve managed to be open as fuck at the back and offer absolutely nothing up...
Yaya is an absolute legend of this football club and was a top class player. However, he’s not even in our top 5 best midfielders in our modern era for me.
Silva, KDB, Fernandinho, Rodri and Gundogan were all better players than him.
He’s looking like the midfield Mangala so far.
What I will say in his favour though is that he does get into goal scoring positions. With a little more luck and better finishing, he could easily have another 6 goals to his tally.
He does need to learn how to influence the game more though.
He’s a very good RB and more than good enough to be first choice for us.
It’s the nature of his mistakes that let him down. They’re amateurish at times.
We’d have lost that game last season and it’s great to see players other than Haaland dragging us over the line.
The second half of games is still an huge issue for this side though. How many decent second half performances have we had over the past 18 months? Cannot be that many.
Pep also...
He fucked up last night, acknowledged it and we move on. The bigger issue for me is the poor coaching of this side.
Last season every attacking player aside from Haaland underperformed. We’re almost in December and our second highest PL scorer is ‘own goals’. It’s embarrassing when you...
One of the most arrogant displays of football management in the history of the CL. Pep treated Levekusen like a League 2 side in the Carabao cup and got his arse handed to him.
The issue isn’t VAR, it’s the bullshit implementation of it that’s the issue.
The PL have allowed technology that should have made the game fairer and more transparent to have the opposite effect.
By adding all these shite layers of thresholds of intervention and not wanting to re ref the...
