Ok, thanks for your 'review', but I prefer to let my clients be the judge of that. They currently include Barclays, AZ, Dow, Telefonica and National Grid. BTW, they pay me around 2K a day.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

I've just had a look at the ONS data on age of death involving Covid. As you probably know, that means any death where death is mentioned on the death certificate. The readily available data stretches back to the week ending 12th Feb. Overall, there are 395 attributed deaths in the 15-44 age...

The percentage I am referring to obviously only relates to the risk over the period of time in question.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

There are around 21.5 million people in the 16-44 age range in England(*), so 16 deaths means you had a 0.0001% chance of dying a death 'involving' Covid. (*) The ONS data on this topic covers the 16-44 age range.

    The Conservative Party/Government

Your mate's bill won't going up as much. GB is still around 40% reliant on gas for its power generation, which means that when the wholesale gas price goes up a lot (as it has done recently) consumers here are more likely to see a stiffer price increase compared to France, where nuclear...

    Seasoncard - 2021/22

Downloaded the card on the phone very easy. But NFC didn't work well for me at the Everton match. I'm thinking it might be worth me trying to buy something at my local shop using Google Pay to test how best to position the phone to get NFC to work, you know, get some practice in.

    'fraid so. Sorry!

HS2 - Birmingham to Manchester scrapped.

That plan for Victoria sounds interesting, I'll have to do some research on that. It's worth noting that the TPE trains are now nearly all going via Victoria rather than Piccadilly, partly due to congestion on the Piccadilly-Deansgate corridor. The Stockport-Stalybridge "Parliamentary" service...

Yes, I was specifically thinking about those terraced houses in Mossley when I mentioned demolitions. I agree the Hope Valley route also deserves a major upgrade. Isn't there some improvement work now underway at Dore/Totley junction?

HS2 - Birmingham to Manchester scrapped.

The Ashbury's-Phillips Park chord? It seems like it could be put to a bit more use? I think the old Scotland to Harwich boat trains used to use that route until the late 1980s. Pre-Covid there was also a once per week TPE service to Scarborough that used it, presumably so that drivers could...

HS2 - Birmingham to Manchester scrapped.

Yes, but I am sure it will carry on to Manchester, plus a spur to Preston. And that's all it needs to do.
