Where's Everyone Going For Their Holidays

Its beautiful and largely untouched by mass british tourism.

No Sky sports
No English breakfasts
No English papers

Going to Madeira next week for the first time. Staying in the Lido district. Any recommendations for restaurants and bars?

Going on a cruise. Never done one before have always done standard beach holidays but last year the kids were just showing signs of being a bit bored and needing something more to keep them entertained. Had a few people suggest that they're really good so giving it a go. No idea what to expect though!

Our two dogs are too old for kennels now, so for the foreseeable it's UK hols only. Just back from two weeks in Kingsand/Cawsand in Cornwall, just over the border from Devon. Got to many great beaches with them, loved the villages we stayed in ... few good pubs and food. Weather was glorious bar two days ... Loved it.

Been on four cruises, loved them all. Where are you going? It's a misunderstanding you are "trapped" on board as most of the sailing is at night time and you arrive at a new destination the next day. The days just at sea are also enjoyable as the Cruise companies go out of their way to keep you entertained.

I'm in La Cala Di Mijas on the Costa Del Sol at the moment, lovely small resort, good restaurants and bars and far removed from the chav dwelling Marbella.

Cheers for for the recommendations . We booked a week in Montenegro at a beach hotel for a week in September last night.

It’s about a 30 minute walk to Budva too, so a good location

Can’t wait, the country looks stunning.
