Everton fans reacted and were accused of disrespecting them. they turn everything into them, as they did recently with the city players singing the allez allez song. everyone knows that song has no reference to sean cox but they use it to their advantage.

That's a big reason why the media won't and don't criticise them. The fear of them turning it into some sleight against the 96.

Up until Xmas Spurs were only a whisker behind us and the dips.

There a fucking good side and more than good enough to do the scouse cry babies.

the one thing that everton do brilliantly is their work in the community and with fans in general. liverpool deride us over a lot of them but am sure in both our cities there is some brilliant PR work going on. and it won't be from the red half in either

Irony is that it means a lot to them as us winning it means they didn't. Buahaha

To be honest, it always felt like a slightly false position. We simply haven't played well enough this season. We were only in touch with you and Liverpool because we had managed to scrap our way to a whole bunch of narrow, pedestrian wins. Too much to ask that we could have gone through the whole season like that without paying the price. We need major surgery this summer because we have a thin squad, because we lack creativity and dynamism in the final third and because we have lost much of the defensive solidity that we enjoyed in previous seasons under Poch.

However, on our day we can indeed be a fucking good side - even if only for short spells during a game. Even more importantly, while we still have the capacity to shoot ourselves in the foot, we have also shown great fighting qualities at times this season. And we have three or four players who can suddenly rise above the ordinary and turn it on. It's why we're in the final.

We also know very well that we should have beaten Liverpool at Anfield. So we are not without hope.
