If he carries on his trajectory he’s having a stand named after him, that’s how brilliant he is. Pep has got his progression bang on.

Said in the pre match thread he has to play on the left. he's currently at his best for us in that position, he outshines Grealish in every single department, that position is his unless Pep has him in the 8. Just hope he doesn't keep moving him around because of his versatility to get others into the side, players generally suffer when that happens. Play your match winners in their most effective position and that means Foden left wing every single game.

What a performance. Milner had to clip him twice to stop him on the edge of the box and he was still straight back on his feet trying to get to the ball. I hope he never loses the desire to play the game as it should be played.

Posted last week on the Grealish thread that Foden is light years in front of Jack Grealish and it wasn’t meant as a put down , Foden shouldn’t be moved around to accommodate anyone, the rest of them
need to adapt

youngest player to ever score in 3 consecutive PL appearances against liverpool. last player to do it was lukaku in 2013.

Spot on. What we're getting from grealish in that position is a typical, lacking in confidence, safe, sterling left wing performance with a brilliant first touch but no pace. There's no planet where that better option than Foden. He's electric and one of the few who makes something happen instead of just waiting for somebody else to do it. Grealish needs to sit on the bench watch foden do what he does then take that in and find himself a position in the side elsewhere if he doesn't want to be a £100 million foden leg saver.
