Yeah, surprised how quiet that is tbf, nobody really pushing any rumours. Not his entourage, not the club, not other clubs, not even click-bait early guessers.

Imagine once the Ederson situation is clear something might come out, but he needs a move away regardless I would think.
You'd think so but he's 33 this year, maybe any clubs that have come forward just don't appeal or if they do they aren't offering the number 1 shirt. He might just decide there is nothing better than what he has.

Possibly. Risks not being registered in at least one competition. Think if we did have 4 keepers before the window shuts, that would be a real possibility.

If we want him, buy him and don’t worry about a few quid here or there in regards to Ederson’s transfer

I don’t believe for a second that United and Chelsea aren’t interested so if we keep him hanging around, we risk missing out

I would guess he would also likely 'risk' waiting about for us to sort the deal for Ederson. And the club would know this

Surely you understand we actually need the Ederson transfer to happen for Donna to come in?

I think we all accept Ederson is going. My point, which I thought was clear so sorry for the confusion, is that haggling over a couple of quid isn’t worth losing Donnarumma over. Particularly as Eddie will be gone in 10 months anyway.

Are you confident that Trafford would handle Arsenal's setpieces? I am pleased we have signed Trafford but I think it is better that he develops alongside an experienced gk.

By all accounts Donna is a nightmare with set pieces and doesn't come off his line. So Trafford would be no worse in that aspect.

If the Donna transfer doesn’t don’t happen I’d be disappointed because it was there for us. However I’d be happy with Trafford being in goal.

I just don’t think you pass up on a transfer like this

That’s the crux of it for me. I’d be more than happy with Trafford but Viana wouldn’t be doing his job properly if he did pass up on the chance to sign one of the best goalkeepers in the world on the cheap (compared to market value) when the opportunity is presented to you.

Especially when they’re only 26 and yet to hit their prime but have plenty of experience and winning on their CVs already.

IMO anyway.

No, only need to look at his stats compared to almost any other top keeper.

Fair enough, i tend to watch rather than someone provide data as stats would show in a treble season that Haaland besides his actual job of scoring goals was shite?

I’m an ederson fan but if Donna is looking for a new club we have to get rid of Ederson and get him in. Mainly to prevent the rags from getting him as he’d improve them a lot.

Yes but winning balls into the box especially from set pieces is one part of a keepers job.I don't have a strong opinion on buying Donnarumma or not, would probably prefer another year of Ederson and Trafford biut it will be what it is,whatever the club decide. But the concensus is aerial challeges and his distubution are weaknesses and can't just dismiss them because Julian Laurens pointed them out. who has probably watched more of PSG than any of us.
