New Turnstiles v Tottenham Hotspur Tomorrow

After NFC failed miserably on my Android phone last season (except for the last game), today was a breeze and it worked as it should on the new screens.

Entrance H, my ticket came um Not Authorise on 2 hand held scanners, a 3rd guy checked it and said it was all ok didn’t know why it failed and let me in.

Joke today.
I get an email telling me I have to attend 16 games etc....

I kept my side of the bargain. I turned up!
However. they failed to make sure I got in on time.

All those who got scanned in by an operator make sure you get registered for your attendance!

Yet Khaldoon and Soriano can breeze in surrounded by security through the Colin Bell main stand entrance.

that's the concern - there will be a couple of thousand who eventually got in today but who the club have down as not attended

MCFC shit show OK!
Certainly was. Even the Guinness machine was playing up today, the left side wasn’t working and the right side was slow as f*ck.

Seriously though, today was a monumentally bad day at the turnstiles. We were lucky in that at the North stand we’re still subject to hand-held devices, I ain’t looking forward to when we switch over. We walked past long queues for the spirals at 11:45, but we breezed in.

I had no problem getting in, my son trialling his clone phone also had no trouble.

What was concerning was all those empty seats in the family (north) stand, it makes you wonder how they will ever fill the extended stand when it opens.

Club Statement:

We apologise to all customers who had issues gaining access to the stadium today. However, we are delighted to confirm that the Facial Recognition technology worked an absolute treat.
They don’t even have the decency to actually post an apology, they don’t give a toss about the fans.

Five of us went in with three people having no problems and two of us had issues, nfc was turned off and on and in the end if you removed the phones protective cover it worked. It took about 15mins trying to sort it with lots of others at turnstile K.

Once inside and in our seats it was obvious we had a family of foreign tourists spread around us. I've generally got no issue with it and it is what it is. However 10 mins into the game and two late arrivals due to the turnstile issues had to point out to two of them they were in the wrong seats. So they moved down the row to tell me that I was sat in their seats. I pointed out to them that we've been sat in these seats as season ticket holders for about 15 years and asked for his details. We sit in row 20 and his row was 10 and 11. I mean how difficult is it to understand. All the while people behind can't see the game (although that was a positive). They proceeded to move to the row in front row 19 and took up two empty seats until again they were moved on by late arrivals. I don't know where they ended up but it wasn't row 10 and 11 It seems City want less of its core support that understands how to navigate a stadium and more of this type of no idea what im doing here but i'll buy shit loads of merch in the club shop supporters. Getting pissed off more.and more by it all.

They will sell the seats to away fans via Viagogo.

Putting it simply they wont mate, makes you wonder how large a vanity project it was to build a stadium with so many seats and then make it like the krypton factor to get tickets and enter the stadium.

This facial recognition thing is making me wonder how it is actually even practical.

It is pointless for away fans and people who have bought tickets through resale sites. Then when they offer extra tickets to season ticket holders for undersubscribed matches those people who have the extra tickets will not be recognisable.

So they are just trying to find out which season ticket holders fail to turn up, they should be honest and stop quoting all this health and safety bull shit.

Spare a thought for the Fan Support team today.

It might have been covered in corporate colours but at the end of the day the club have yet again introduced a new system without prior testing and understaffed the response team deployed in what was essentially a portacabin.... to deal with what was an avoidable fuckup by the club.

I just wish my ticket was declined so I didn't have to witness that shitshow on the pitch.
Think quite a few fans gave up and left after queuing for an eternity at the high tech portacabin . Absolute shambles .
