Premier League Games | 29/30 November '25

I see Sturridge got dressed in the dark again this morning. His stylist (assuming he has one) must have a macabre sense of humour. Is he wearing that stuff for a bet, or a dare?

And yes; I'm sure it costs more than I earn in a couple of months. Doesn't make them look good.

"Gok Wan, News at 10, the West of Ireland".
Dannyboy is a model for the entire planet and coalmen in particular.

They were playing at against 10 men for over a hour

It’s a terrible result

That’s the sort of game champions go on to win
It is but it's not really terrible with regards to the point they took. We've been there. We know how important these morsels are for the table.

Like when we were 1-0 down at St James' Park at 83 mins and won 2-1 you mean.

Champions do win those games but also when it's against a direct rival (and a derby too) you make sure you don't lose it.

Also no 1st choice centre backs, Trossard injured, Gyokeres comes back from injury but plays 20 mins, coming off the back of a North London derby and also Bayern Munich. If there was the game for Chelsea to win it then it was today and Caicedo's brain fart made that difficult. So I'd say it is a better result for us than Chelsea as if Chelsea wanted to be champions they had to win that but yet against their disciplinary issue hindered them (and they will now lose Caicedo for 3 matches - away at Leeds, away at Bournemouth, home to Everton).

I'd also add that now we have played all the big boys away apart from City, have also played 1 less home game (and 1 more away game) than both City and Chelsea.

Still a long way to go but seeing as that was 1st v 2nd it's like you saying if City are top they need to be going to Anfield (when Dippers were 2nd) and winning. How often did that happen yet you still won the league regardless.

It helps when you have players prepared to run and fight for every single ball and a manager that actively manages a team for all 90 minutes.
Yeah Maresca miles better than Pep as can be clearly seen by their trophies won

While he has a point that it was ridiculous it took so long and robbed him of a move to us ( Deliberately done? ) he can't go on blaming his behaviour on it forever.

You never learn do you. Your comments are a reflection of your manager.

You play not to lose while great teams of the past like prime city play to win.

Same thing happened at the Etihad a few seasons back when you came up against a wounded city yet played it safe and dropped two points that would have won you the title.

Chelsea on the other hand were brilliant. Down to 10 men yet still went for it even it was a bit naive. For the good of football hopefully Artetas cowardly approach doesn’t bring him the title.

The subs Arteta made showed he tried to win. It's ok to give Chelsea credit - they played hard but (mostly) fair and deserved their point. We're not at the level that we are going to piss every game (despite what the media says). It's going to be a fight and who knows if that's a good point or not.

BTW City and Chelsea still have to play each other twice. .

....parklife...

I like that Maresca accepted the Red but also put in the comparison of a similar foul on James that didn’t get a red v spuds I think he said.
Consistency of refereeing.
