16 | Rodri 2025/26

Impeccable first 15 to 20 then started to show a bit of rust, but only a bit.

Played it first touch when he needed, took an extra half a second on it when that was needed. Completely sets the tempo not just for the team but for the game. Should have had an assist with the cross to gvardiol which was again top class. Great to have him back but doubt he can start chelsea unfortunately so not sure where that leaves us. Just hope he stays fit and think we will win the league

That first touch into (I think) Foden to play in Cherki for the Savinho sitter was immense. Can’t believe he missed, in fact, no I can !

Great to see him back and he put an excellent performance. He seems to have so much time on the ball which is a sign of a quality player.

In a team with Dona, Gvardiol, Foden, Haaland, Cherki...world class players, he is so clearly the best and most important of them all. I know he gets a lot of compliments, but I feel he is still underrated. He is in the starting 11 and I just feel we will never lose, and we will always dominate the match

He just oozes class. Having him back is going to make a huge difference.
100% he is the difference for this team to be winning things or being runners up. He makes our squad look balanced and more of a threat if he is fit. He probably played tonight at about 60-70% of fitness.

His eye for a forward pass was clear to see and suddenly we have our best forward players actually getting the ball with some space. Nico is good but Rodri is imperious.

Just his presence calms everyone else down. Then you see him make himself available as an outlet, make precise line breaking passes, and break opponents’ counters, and you know exactly what we’ve missed for a year and a half.

Welcome back Godri.

Good to see him back. Looked great on the ball, very suspect off it though, can see he doesn't trust his knee yet. He was also completely shattered by about 75 minutes. Going to take a long time to get him back properly. Can see the difference instantly though.
