Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

Papers reporting that he's turned down Wham for Fulham.

I think he's trying to get to play for all the London PL clubs before he retires.

:)

Yeah this lad gets bits of random info from time to time and told me this last week. Wish I'd had a punt on it now it's being reported.

Fair play to Raz. Least he won't have to move far. Will never say a bad word against the man. Played a huge part in our recent successes and was absolutely on fire in our Centurion season

On that note what's the consensus among Blues on Gabby Jesus? Is he fondly remembered? From memory he was always a backup option off the bench for Aguero and didn't have the same impact as Sterling but would be interested to hear it from the horse's mouth.

Good player Gabby. Tried his best, flashes of brilliance at times. Needs a solid run of games though which he never got because of injury or the fact we had Sergio. Spent a lot of time offside. Won us the game to seal 100 points. Surprised we got the money we did for him.

Yeah injuries has been his issue, plus he isn't the most clinical. Glad City fans seem to have fond memories - I can't recall a time since he moved to Arsenal where he's said anything that hasn't been positive about City.

My main concern with him was he really isn't built for the pace and physicality of the Premier League. Guy is tiny and was wafer thin at City. A huge knock usually ended up with him missing 3 months because he'd end up tearing or breaking something. It amazes me Foden isn't the same but he kind of bounces out of challenges, where as Gabby would take them full force and lie there for 10 minutes!

Most players who do leave never have anything bad to say and the ones who do are usually just paying lip service to their new employers.

Apart from Yaya Toure, that **** can go and fuck himself.

Milner?

Ahhh but Foden is Northern born and bred. Good Northern stock built on beef dripping butties, jam butties and the like!! ;-)

When he first joined he kept Aguero out of the team on merit and many City fans thought he, Sterling and Sane could be our front three for a decade.
He did quite well in his time at City but seemed to lack the elite mentality of the likes of Silas x 3, KdB, Kompany etc.
When he decided that he preferred playing wide when he was effectively our only senior striker I think he revealed his lack of confidence. Yes he would have to take responsibility for being the primary goal scorer but would have probably the best assist maker ever to play in the Premier League putting chances on a plate for him. Him not trying to rise to that challenge is why I was happy for him to leave.

Always looked a bit mard which can make it hard to warm to a player.

Raheem still has a lot to offer, should never have left City when he did. Haaland coming in was the best thing for him he always shines more when there is a striker.

Hopefully he can move to a Fulham/Palace and at least get back to playing some form of football.

Think he’s in the same boat as Kalvin Phillips. He’s lost the fire in his belly and is going through the motions.

He’ll pick up his wage at Chelsea until 2027 and he’ll probably then retire.
