But he tells the players to pass it around aimlessly because it's supposed to give us control anyway, nothing makes sense.

Angry as f*ck , why did he decide to experiment tonight ? A formation and tactics we have never played before and players playing out of position , Khusanov centre back play him right back , O'Reilly been superb in midfield play him left back, Semenyo ive no idea where he was playing , that was an arrogant selection tonight and he gave no respect to Real and Pep got what he deserved. Nothing

Methinks he will call it a day end of season, 10 years is mammoth these days. Then he can become the new full time 'Palestine Roving Ambassador' morphing into 'Yasser Arafat' as the days pass. Sorry for the sarcasm but can see it.
 
Pep sounds fucking surprised they scored with their first and second attack. Has he not watched any of our games for the past 10 years. We are wide open and playing on the half way line with no pace at the back thats the fucking reason teams regularly score against us with their first and second chance FFS!

He also sounds surprised they had a packed defence. Really! Again watch the way we play Pep, everyone defends that way against us and when they don't like Newcastle last week we punish teams but by and large its been sussed.

he should have simply do this:

Ait Nouri, Guehi, Dias, Nunes defence

Cherki, Rodri, Bernardo midfield, and up top Doku, Haaland, Semenyo

to bring in Savinho on RW, just to push Semenyo to middle where he looked uncomfortable and doesnt really make things happen in build up, take NOR out of midfield to put back to LB for no reason, leave Nunes out these are all odd things to come up in a CL 1st leg vs Real madrid.
if we play Sporting or Atalanta, yes you can make these changes and get away with it maybe.

Pep was punished so hard for his tactical mistakes, its almost "funny". there are games where your tactical mistakes aint result in a big loss or you can blame bad luck more or the ref etc. but not in this game.

this would have been 4-0 if Donnarumma doesnt save the pen. and he had another big save from Brahim shot I think in early 2nd half. their keeper also had a top save vs OReilly central shot. take away the great saves and its 5-1 realistically.
 
Pep has been the making of City in his time here , I think his cycle is coming to an end which we all dreaded but the club has to move forward for the greater good hopefully. The next manager has to be his own man and I don’t what someone who plays the Pep way, fresh ideas new formations new tactics to keep us successful and get the excitement back on the pitch.
 
Completely reactionary and I'll probably be back in his corner tomorrow, but that was a fucking shitshow. That was ineptitude at its worst. He laid the biggest turd AGAIN on the biggest stage. I don't have hopes for us winning anything this season after that.

To be honest, we've had a handful of good performances for 2 seasons now. Its fucking dull most of the time. Hardly surprising Haaland has completely switched off.

Its like Arteta paying Saliba right back, Nwaneri right wing, Norgaard left back and pushing saka in behind Gyorkeres to face a depleted Madrid team.
