The only thing I’ve laughed at tonight
 
sadly this is up there with Arsenal-City 5-1, the recent derby loss. very bad performance and tactics.
add in the usual losses vs Tottenham, the Brighton away, Villa away losses, the back to back FA cup final nightmares vs rags then Palace.

we are not a serious factor in CL later stages. sadly I didnt expect this to be a development in so little time after our treble but it happened.

now more than ever need to learn this new CL format, and finish in top4 is a must, Bodo and Leverkusen results fucked us completely. if we finished top4 we would have seen us playing tonight vs Leverkusen, Galata, Atalanta or Newcastle. huge difference.

the worst is?
if we had been drawn vs this shower of shit Tottenham, probably this loser Igor Tudor would eliminate Pep over two legs without joke.

the squad dropped off a lot from where it was but has to be said Pep's ideas and general tactics and reactions also way outdated and getting more and more outfoxed by lesser and lesser managers. this thing he has this huge fire in himself for the rebuild. I dont know. sounds a lot of words without much proof. the players dont look as hungry and fired up. we looked tired and devoid of ideas when the match goes against us or if opponents decide to just attack us and score with ease. our control on games is poor, build up is slow and Haaland is being taken out of games in a row with ease while others aint exactly firing either.

this month still can get much worse and the Forest result and this CL game is already may have fucked PL and CL for us.

We are not going to be playing quick slick passing play with players like Savinho, Doku and Semenyo. One of them is brand new and another has just signed a contract so it won’t change anytime soon
 
He will always be our best ever manager but if he were to go at the end of the season, it might be best all round.
Give fabregas a call and see if he fancies it.

Gonzalez is a Pep type player as well, so is Ait Nouri, which is why Pep decided to bench all 3 tonight, genius.
 
Still can’t believe he didn’t boost the midfield at half time by adding Nico in there. Decides to go with Reijnders who has neither a CM, AM or a footballer.

Felt sorry for Rodri tonight, one pass out of defence and it was 4v1 in midfield. The guys 30 and coming back from an ACL.

You’re away from home at the Bernabeu Pep, they’ve got loads of injuries, just flood the midfield and let the ball do the talking instead of chasing the game.

How exactly were we brave anyway ? pass pass pass with everyone scared to death to try something because it'll upset the boss, that ain't brave.

I'm positive the club bought Reijnders thinking he'd solve our number 8 problem, Gundo replacement. But he's a move ending 10, which we absolutely had no need for. He has no presence whatsoever and he keeps Cherki and Marmoush out of the team.

Semenyo. Good goal stats and gets on the end of moves. Bad first touch and doesn't fit our team playing alongside Haaland. We seem to now be shoehorning in him as an inside forward where he doesn't have the necessary attributes.

Marmoush. Pretty good player but can't play alongside players who don't create for him. He deserves a run in the team as a lone striker.

I’m not having this when it comes to the midfield.

Pep personally told Txiki he was happy with his midfield the summer before 24/25 and insisted he didn’t sign anyone (inadvertently turning down Joao Neves) even though Txiki suggested it. We also went and signed Nico G in January, who’s pretty good and offers a lot more than pointless, slow pressing and “leadership”.

Pep chose not to play him even after he had a stormer at SJP.
 
Pep has been outsmarted by very average and debutant coaches this season and last as well, we are no longer possession gods (in a good way), this team strikes me as just a bunch of “Prem-ready” branded 250K a week pro footballers who are enjoying that money and that’s it.

His credit is running out and he better leave.

Don’t get me wrong aside from the first 10 mins the football is as dull as ever

But trying to win the game by having so many attackers and no midfield is in him - gave up any proper control for trying to win it overload of attackers
