Is the Premier League corrupt?

They don't want their product being monopolized by us. They said that years ago. As Rafa Benitez said FACT.

Only Klopp and Liverpool stopped us making it 7 PL titles in a row, which as you say, isn't good for the PL.

The clutching, grabbing, jostling in the box has gotten so far out of hand. It happens ever set piece especially on corners. Arsenal have made a science out of it.

I don't know what the solution is but you can't adjudicate for every single infraction- which is part of the reason clubs like Arsenal are using this to their advantage.

Something has to change. I am getting so tired of this game I love no longer being the glorious spectacle it once was because it's being vivisected frame by frame.

yesterdays VAR was about as clear cut as your going to get - people on here really thinking it shouldn't have been overturned? reaching over and grabbing then holding the keepers far arm?

if the PL are out to get us there was an easy sending off on Bernie a few days ago, assume the ref didn't get the memo that day?

go on every teams equivalent of Bluemoon and you'll see every set of supporters thinks there's a conspiracy against them, almost like fans are not altogether impartial observers and might be swayed by groupthink

over the cause of the season Arsenal have been the most solid team, and we are a shadow of the team we were a few seasons ago, that's why we are probably not going to win the league this year but feel free to carry on the conspiracy nonsense in my absence
Could you explain the Henderson deliberate handball to deny a clear goal scoring opportunity?

Or the Rashford offside that wasn't given?

The foul on Foden Newcastle away?

What about constant rule changes regarding how much a team can spend?

There's not really a conspiracy, it's there in plain sight. A clear objective to hinder or damage City's success.

The cat is clearly out of the bag now and football fans from every club other than arsenal can see it for what it truly is.

In their endeavour to make sure of the desired outcome , PGMOL completely over-played their hand .

Howard Webb should not be allowed to distance himself from the shitshow produced by his lackies.

What's more annoying is that whenever these type of incidents occur, most pundit's (invariably ex players) just go along with the narrative.

Example, if you watch the entire incident over again, what you will see is that, before Pablo touches Raya, Trossard has his arms firmly around Pablo's waist to ensure he can't jump to head the ball. Pablo then tries to get the height by putting his arm across Raya's arms.

Now all of the discussion coverage, including that from ex ref Dermott Gallagher on Sky seems to talk about, 'the sequence of events ', basically saying as an example that Rice committing a foul is irrelevant as Raya was fouled first. Not a single person has mentioned the initial foul on Pablo. For me that HAS to be be taken into account when ruling out the goal.

As an ex striker, Jay Bothroyd just goes along with Gallagher's explanation.

I have no evidence that the PL is corrupt but the circumstantial evidence from yesterday doesn't put the PL or PIGMOL in a favourable light. It was highly embarrassing that WHU seemed to have found an equaliser in the dying seconds of stoppage time. One favoured team's title chances seemed to have taken a possibly fatal blow while another favoured club had been pushed right back into relegation trouble. WHU are not a favoured club.

Enter VAR, which seemed to be looking for an excuse to disallow the goal and therefore chose to ignore clear fouls by several Arsenal players and concentrate on one incident to the exclusion of all others. The excuse that the "foul" on the keeper took place before the others is beyond pathetic. West Ham were stiffed. Joe Hart, Peter Schmeicel and Shay Given all agree. So, corruption? I bet there are few in East London, and not too many in Manchester, who doubt it.

Am I just a bitter City fan? I'm certainly a City fan but I accept that City will not win the title this season because we have lost too many points from winning positions: but I also believe Arsenal would not win the title if their "dodgy" set piece goals had been correctly disallowed.

Arsenal have had so many decisions going their way this season that theyve already put in a request with Richard Masters for extra medals for all the officials who have helped them cheat their way to glory ,& theyve even told him they will be renaming, rebranding themselves Varsenal from next season lol!

Of cause it is, they do nothing about the useless on-field arbiters (PGMOL) of their product. A certain team can foul with impunity when they have a corner, but if it happens against them a different outcome is the invariable result.

The most pointless analyst in history. All he ever does is agree with whatever decision the ref and/or VAR makes.

He managed to find a way to say that Solanke's goal against us was correctly allowed and that Gabriel should not have been sent off for the headbutt on Haaland.

HE is quite happy to say a decision is right. even if it is blatantly wrong. Is that political, stupidity or corrupt ?
