Is the Premier League corrupt?

yesterdays VAR was about as clear cut as your going to get - people on here really thinking it shouldn't have been overturned? reaching over and grabbing then holding the keepers far arm?

if the PL are out to get us there was an easy sending off on Bernie a few days ago, assume the ref didn't get the memo that day?

go on every teams equivalent of Bluemoon and you'll see every set of supporters thinks there's a conspiracy against them, almost like fans are not altogether impartial observers and might be swayed by groupthink

over the cause of the season Arsenal have been the most solid team, and we are a shadow of the team we were a few seasons ago, that's why we are probably not going to win the league this year but feel free to carry on the conspiracy nonsense in my absence
It should have been a penalty to West Ham.

There is no conspiracy or widespread corruption but that doesn’t mean weak refs are not affected by peer group pressure or influence from their bosses. PGMOL is paid by the PL and relies 100 pc on the PL. Refs know their careers depend on not rocking the boat with the bigger clubs and officials at the the PL. Perhaps it’s a form of institutional bias. There have certainly been some biased individual decisions over the years. Some individual club directors have behaved corruptly in their campaign against City.

I agree with this in general, but the decision yesterday was only clear cut in isolation. Raya probably was impeded by an arm and a shirt pull, but Pablo was also getting impeded by Trossard at the same time and Rice was busy playing Rugby a few yards away. Trossard and Rice were not interested in playing the ball, only impeding the opposition, so why do those fouls not get looked at?

West Ham have put in an official complaint the last hour demanding clarification transparency and full audio links during the VAR intervention of yesterday’s last minute decision.
Interesting
Can see a legal claim going in if they are relegated.

I was thinking they must do that. If they are relegated due to this point being wiped off by VAR that will be an enormous financial loss for them. The “foul” on the keeper was exactly like fouls Arsenal have committed throughout the season. I’d collect that evidence too and say, “The precident has been set by both Arsenal and VAR that this was not a foul and therefore the referee’s decision to award the goal was not a clear and obvious error. You only have to look at the grappling Arsenal players were doing simultaneously to underline that Arsenal thought it was acceptable behavior too.”

In my opinion and based upon the very questionable appointment of Richard Masters , the corruption began very clearly at that stage.

US owned clubs contrived to ensure a beneficial treatment for their clubs , namely Liverpool,.rags, gooners and perennial losers spurs, to the detriment of other members of the PL.

That corruption has been extended firstly by the charges levelled against City because they threatened the status quo, followed by their enforced restrictions on Newcastle also viewed as a financial threat.

When those efforts failed, the PL management body ,lead by Masters, together with a cabal of US owned clubs have consorted to control and influence their authority and influence for their sole benefit over the remaining members of the PL.
None of the above has happened by accident, and controlling PGMOL is just a further extension of that operation.

The whole thing stinks of greed and corruption in plain site.

I usually don't like what about ism but if Bernie should have been sent off for that at weekend then what about Gabriel's 'headbutt' on Haaland, what about the tackle on Foden at St James park, which should of been a clear lpenalty and what about the tackle on Doku by Dalot at old toilet, should have been a sending off. Not a conspiracy but we've had a few go against not just this season, think the Rashford offside at old toilet in 23. That decision yesterday and all the pulling nonsense in the box has been allowed all season and Arsenal have benefitted from that more than any other team in the league. Surely you can agree with that.

Did Gary the Rat Neville have any influence on the var with his keeper fouled in his opinion.

It should have been a penalty to West Ham.
Why are people who actually saw the incident still claiming it was the correct decision. It’s bizarre. VAR had 3 incidents before Raya was touched that should have been a penalty. The only reason the West Ham player goes into Raya is because he was forcefully pulled and pushed into the keeper. Scandalous decision.

From what I have seen he was desperate to set the agenda of the foul on the keeper whilst miked up to VAR

So yes which asks the massive question of outside influence from a broadcaster ?

They've got you haven't they?
You now see what they want you to see.

Mate, did you not see the other 4 or 5 fouls taking place at the same time?

Why wasn't the referee asked to go to the screen to take a look at the two players impeding Pablo as he went up the ball? Any footage of the incident you can see the arms around him. If they weren't there, he doesn't need to reach across Raya to get to the ball.

If he was asked to look at that, or that plus his arm on Raya. The outcome should have either been a penalty to West Ham (as he was being fouled), or a goal (because both sides were equally to blame).

Going for a disallowed goal after approximately 50 replays from all angles shows that there was an intent from the off to try and disallow it.

You can tow the Premier League and POGMOL line if you want, I'm calling it out for what it was. Blatant cheating
