Season Card taken away after 50 years!

What happens if he sells it back to the club. My youngest lad works as a musician and has had to miss a fair few games due to work this season but each time he has sold it back to City.
To the best of my knowledge, rules for this season were:
1. Season card holder must attend 10 games in person.
2. Season card must be ‘used’ for a minimum of 16 games.

So if for example you only attend 10 games, you must either transfer the ticket or list it to be resold by City for a minimum of a further six games.
Happy to be corrected if I’ve got that wrong.

Must say I am surprised to hear the club are being so draconian. I contacted them before the season started as I knew I would struggle to make many matches due to ongoing illness. The club contacted me and were very supportive and just asked me to either transfer or put my ticket on the exchange if I was unable to attend. As it happens, last Saturday was the first game I felt well enough to attend. I missed the spurs and arsenal games due to illness on the day and couldn't transfer or exchange as was too late. The other tickets were put on the exchange. Hopefully I will now be able to continue my support in future and city have confirmed I will have a season ticket again next season. It seems very strange that the club are taking a diametrically opposite view to others in a similar position to myself. Can only hope city matters or the new trust can persuade the club to take a more reasonable stance.

Firstly without know the full facts of the OP's situation then its difficult to have an opinion of the club's actions However I am aware of a couple of people that contacted the club and explained their circumstances and why they wouldn't be able to attend the minimum matches. The club couldn't have been more understanding, even offering a parking place and access to lifts in one case unfortunately this wouldn't have helped, they were told not to worry and to keep the club informed if it continued into next season
Just to add I know a rag who had a ST at City and used it for about there games a season the derby and a couple of other big games rest of the time it was left empty and it amused him that it was thus He had to give it up when the new criteria was introduced The club are trying to stop this kind of thing going on including the touts
When the upper tier of the South Stand opened the tickets were around £280. It was noticeable that for the big games it was full but lesser games not so much.

I said at the time at that price some supporters were probably just attending a few big games and weren’t arsed about the others, if they made seven games it worked out at £40 a match plus it gave them the opportunity to buy tickets for cup finals. For that price it was a no brainer especially if they could pass the ticket on now and again.

One lad who travelled on our supporters bus only went to certain games, usually those not on a Saturday because that was the day he played golf. He's given his ticket up now as he’ll never manage 10 games a season.

it's no wonder the club is fucking the fans over when theres ppl here as well defending the club

shame really
Exactly ! I’m all for supporters losing seasoncards if they are bought just to attend big games. But this is about long term supporters having a temporary change in circumstances being fucked over.

Like somebody has said earlier - the club seem deluded that there are thousands of tourist ready to jump in. They haven’t done all season so how do they expect they will next year with 9000 more seats to fill.

When you look at how much money is in football it just seems completely ridiculous for the club to be so strict on the ticketing. I know they've looked to make changes for next season, but they need to appreciate the culture of football, particularly with our fan base is you could largely rock up on the day and buy a ticket if you wanted. I can't remember what year it was, but we played Juve in the UEFA Cup and I decided about 2hrs before kick off I would go - it wasn't covered in my season ticket at the time. So I just bought one and went. Easy as that. I went to Australia for a while, gave my season ticket for the second half of that season to my cousin so he took a mate with him instead. No questions asked.

City just want to make sure it's them who reap the benefit of ticket re-sales. But at the expense of true fans it's just not acceptable nor worthwhile.

I dont need to know the full facts of this case. The club are constantly fucking off legacy fans INCLUDING THIS ONE, and they are cunts for it. Thats my opinion, yours may be different, but don’t lecture me for mine
I'm not lecturing you. And I don't have an opinion, because I don't know all of the facts.

My mate who sits next to me in CB L2 had a stroke seven weeks ago. He didn’t have any way to pass onto non members as he’d not set the facility up for another of our friends. I rang City, explained it, they couldn’t have been more helpful.

Also, during the season we’ve had a couple of tickets for card holders to pass to non members, I’ve rang City on their behalf (I’m the go to fella for these issues amongst our supporters group) and again City have been really helpful.

People are probably defending the club as there’s some disingenuous stories from certain fans, eg the original issue, the guy didn’t mention he’d been offered a flexi ticket, without all the facts it’s impossible to judge.

That's correct. I read the terms over and over before making my decision.

Something doesn't add up. I know they mentioned that there was a minimum 10 game but I find it highly unlikely they will be cancelling alot of fans Season tickets if they have missed say 10 games. They have a new stand to fill and cant even sell out some games.

Transfering tickets

Then why enforce the criteria this year if you are making a u-turn on transferring tickets next year? Doesn't make any sense.

Punish people for something this year that they could potentially get away with next season when there's substantially more seats to fill.

I'm certainly not defending the club. All I am saying is, people weigh in with hatred and aggression to a situation without knowing both sides of the story (as often is the the case online). I'm not saying that the club are right. If they are wrong, hopefully the situation will get sorted. Nobody in life is perfect, and neither is the club, they have made mistakes, or rather, individuals in the club have made mistakes in the past. But overall, they have done us pretty well as fans. There are ways and means to get these sort of things resolved e.g. Citizens group or City Matters.

Spot on. Same for next season as well (albeit with more generous transfer rules).

Anyone who doesn’t meet the criteria (and isn’t given exemption) will be offered flexi for the following season.

I didn't contact the club "once" I contected them several times and escalated it to ticket office management. And you can fuck off with your "advice" to be honest because you don't know anything about it.
Ignore him mate - he's the biggest WUM on the forum and the club can do no wrong in his eyes
