Not counting Steve Coppell

The Best one's

Joe Mercer (but Roberto is coming)
Roberto Mancini
Tony Book

Alan Ball
Frank Clark
Mark Hughes (don't care what anyone says, the man is a horse's arse).

Best:
Joe Mercer
Tony Book
Robbie or Joe Royle

Worst:
Hughes
John Bond (Second half of THAT season)
Alan Ball

Since I've been supporting them..

Best 3 -

Joe Mercer
Tony Book
John Bond

Mancini is almost there...!

Worst 3 -

I presume we don't include "caretakers" otherwise, Frizzell, Benson and Neal would be certainties!

Stuart Pearce (harsh, but no one has ever come closer to me packing in City!)
Mark Hughes (harsh, but given his resources...)
Malcolm Allison (in his second phase...)

-- Sat Jun 04, 2011 12:23 pm --

Just out of interest... what half out of what season?

Mercer - his trophy record puts him in first.

Mancini - he won City our first major trophy in 35 years. That automatically puts him there.

Keegan - bought some excellent players like Benarbia and Berkovic and worked them together with Wright-Phillips and Huckerby to win us the Championship and get us 9th in the Premier League - he also took four points off United.

-

Hughes - I'm sorry, but he just took us backwards despite the money we had. That run of 7 draws was laughable.

Coppell - can you even say he was our manager?

(Can't think of a third).
