That makes no sense. Coutinho is rated higher than Sterling on current ability by the people who watch both regularly. It's only those who don't watch them play frequently, relying mainly on highlights, claiming Sterling is currently the better of the two.

He's a very, very good player for his age and has enormous potential but no one who has watched Liverpool regularly could possibly claim Sterling is/was the best player at the club on current ability.
