    City Bets - 2022/23

I had Max bet which was £20 on the 40+ goals, £30.30 on the 35+ goals, £45.45 on the 33+ goals & I put £100 on each of the rest I think. The max return is about £11,000 or 1/2 that if he hits the 35+ target. Break even point is 24 goals+ If we win the title & Haaland is top scorer or 26+ goals...

    City Bets - 2022/23

I’m not really a betting man but based purely on what I watched last season and the chances our team created, it was obvious Erling was on for 30+ goals. Glad I took every bet available on sky bet, Erling is going to fund my season card for 12-15 years. 24+ pl goals 1/1 25+ pl goals 6/4 26+ pl...

Tips for saving money this winter

Aldi smokeless fuel £6.99 for a 10kg bag today, Lidl had some at £5.99 Last week. What is a good price in South Manchester for kiln dried wood? I’ve been quoted £105 for one of those large builders bags Delivered, from a place in Timperley.

    Gas & Electricity

If you are heating just the space you are in I think gas generally will win the battle. Gas is about 1/3rd the cost of electricity per Kwh. Depending on how old / efficient your central heating is it could be closer I guess. Maybe experiment with both and take your meter readings or have a look...

apologies the £3.99 price must have been from last October, it turned up when I googled it. I guess your price is more accurate.

What size are those bags? I bought some from Wickes last week, 3 x 10kg bags of Brazier for £24, so £8 each 10kg bag. Loving the coals as it lasts into the night & helps maintain a nice warmth overnight.

Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Gas is about 1/3rd the cost of elec per kWh if you can just heat 1 room via your gas central heating Vs an electric heater.

Hurricane Ian hit Florida Wednesday 28th Sep !

The rainfall I experienced in August on a little storm there was something else. Lightening literally every couple of seconds for 2 hours. Best of luck to all in the storms path.

I had a very tech advanced militaristic & expansive empire alongside me, I pretty much submitted to them until the late game when I caught up tech wise with them, before surprise attacking them. On paper I didn’t stand a chance, but I worked out they were vulnerable to certain weaponry despite...

Yes, I had to walk away after about 1000 hours for the sake of my marriage lol. I began on xbox, then went to pc & bought all the DLC. Eventually I ended up installing Star trek mods - bloody brilliant it was. If you are in to your trek it spans the entire timeline & all civilisations. The...

    Gas & Electricity

Just ran some maths on our last 12 months gas usage (17,000kwh). The last 12 months gas bill = £838.19, if we kept our usage identical it goes up from October to £1859.08 factoring in the British gas standard variable 10.33p per kwh & daily standing 28.4p charge from 1st October. We use gas for...

The lite one is handheld only, so no TV adapter, personally we enjoy the odd family game of Mario kart / Mario party (4 player) on the TV during the cold miserable winter months, so I'd go for the standard Nintendo switch. I wouldn't bother with the OLED one if it's her first one, it's a nicer...
