Did they ever show the freeze frame with the lines of the goal in the first leg? The one posted without the lines earlier in this thread makes it look as if SonSon is just off. Hopefully VAR will improve - it's not got off to a great start in our games.

Did BT show the definitive angle again post-match? Or did they only show it after the goal? Would seem odd if they didn't show that angle again when spending 5 minutes discussing whether it hit his hand or not.

Also did they show that angle again on BT in the post-match discussion with Hoddle, Lineker and Ferdinand - if they did I missed it. It would be odd not to show it as that's the one angle where you see it clearly

Watching the game back, Murray looks offside to me - whether VAR would have come to the rescue if he had scored is another question!!!

Agreed. Hard to believe the reasoning behind this. Costing us maybe £15 mill to replace Kolarov - better off sticking with Mangala rather than sending out on loan with us stumping up some of his wages.

He's usually looked committed whenever he's come onto the pitch which is more than can be said for some. His movement is pretty good, always looking for space. I'd like to us to keep him - maybe the next manager might use him better.
