Whilst you might not get everyone moving, I think there's many singers all around the ground who don't sing because of the section they sit in, but would if they were in a more vocal section. I think plenty of singers will move there, and even if they don't in the first season many will move...

I will say I think most away fans struggle being split over 3 tiers, I thought arse were the best we've had in a while. For us I don't think it helps that SS2 contains a hospitality section, which completely splits the 2 section up. That's the excitement of NS2 being 1 large tier though

I think the fact that we can't agree on whether SS1 sings or not, says enough about the acoustics.

If you think SS1 only make noise on a rare occasion, then it's very clear that the sound doesn't carry well to 105. SS1 sing most of the game

I believe it's more a case of positioning. If our main singers were all in SS3 under the roof, then we would make an absolute racket. Unfortunately in SS1 the noise just doesn't carry. That's why it's crucial we make the new North Stand a proper home end

Its easy to all sing in unison when the announcer guy gets the chant started. It's not easy to sing in unison however, when you have 3 singing section who can't hear one another due to bad acoustics

I'm happy to agree to differ, and yes it's an English football problem, even if the media thinks it's only us! I've been to enough stadiums around the country to see what a good stadium setup can do to an atmosphere. Wolves are a good example of this, very average support but their stadium...

I agree there is a lot of half hearted support in the stands, but to say that "lack of atmosphere is nothing to do with the configuration of the stadium" is simply wrong. I sit in 232 and it's very often impossible to know who to join in with, as you have SS1, Kippax Corner and SS3 all singing...

As much as I dislike the announcer guy, that was a perfect example of him getting it right for once. Just gotta hope he doesn't try anything similar on Tuesday against Watford.

I thought it was good today, the atmosphere only died a bit in the 2nd half because of how uninspiring the game was. Most chants that started spread around the whole stadium, which rarely happened at all last season, so I think that's a positive sign going forward.
