Think back to before City had billions of pounds to spend on players... would you have just thrown x amount of pounds at players? No. Every player has his valuation (much like the Lescott saga) that a club will be willing to pay. Moyes thinks their worth x amount Spurs are willing to pay...

Of course were overpricing him. He's worth far more to the club then his actual playing ability. Also one point I forgot to mention is that Jagielka will miss some of the season too as he's out injured... another reason why Lescott and the stability at the back he brings is vitally important...
