What is the file type? I've only used SX3 in the past but from memory are you doing something like this? File > Export > Audio Mixdown - Then choose file type/bit rate etc. Cubase should have the ability to export to .mp3 or .wav which should both play no problem in WMP.

I'm the same, run a night for 4-6s but never heard of anyone near us (Walkden) that have 3yrs or less.
