Doesn't matter what your opinion is - it's wrong. I know that Everton will not be selling for less than £50m and depending on how he does this season we could be demanding more. £30m would not be a rip off either. You look at the price Arsenal paid for Ozil; most people would have said they'd...

According to you guys, that's absolute rubbish and just a rumour, even though I was saying it was true.

Seems like I was right, lads. Don't worry, you couldn't have known.

    The Everton thread 2014/15

We're apparently looking to get Atsu in on loan from Chelsea, but that's been around for ages. We'll likely look for another winger and striker, with Brendan Galloway coming in to be our next John Stones. I can definitely see us playing 352 more, especially against teams like Arsenal where...

Disagree with that. He's only 21. Considering his goal tally and the fact that he's already spent a year with us (so Martinez knows his strengths and weaknesses) I'd say £28m is fair. I would have liked us to have paid less but I'm not complaining at all when you see Lallana going for £25m.

Morning people. After a bunch of you decided to engage in a spot of ribbing due to my posts about young Ross, I thought I'd point out what the MEN are reporting. I'm not sure how much you lot trust your local media (personally, we don't usually like the Echo cause it tends to be tinted red)...

I see you guys can get a little upset when presented with the situation where a player may not wish to sign for you. Even more so, when it is possible that money may not tempt that player to move. I suppose I understand. I'm simply telling you what I know and believe will happen (not what I...

If you want to believe that about a club you know very little about, that's fine. Everton would have accepted £30m five years ago. Now? Not a chance. It won't happen. The need to "sell to buy" no longer exists for us.

I'm sure Rodwell would love to agree with you.

£50m bid rejected. Surely a logical step would be to assume £60m is more likely? If no club is willing to pay that then obviously he won't move, but I can see someone offering it.

Don't think that's very fair. Lescott was not a brilliant player. You paid out the nose for him. Barkley is something else. Believe it that (if) when the time comes (and it won't be for a long time), you'll have to bleed to pay for him, especially given how prices rise throughout the years.

Thought I'd just explain a couple of things because a friend of mine from here was telling me how Barkley is going to sign on for you. Barkley was at that game because Martinez is instructing all the Everton players to observe a couple of teams (especially Barcelona) and how they play. You can...
