Disagree with that. He's only 21. Considering his goal tally and the fact that he's already spent a year with us (so Martinez knows his strengths and weaknesses) I'd say £28m is fair. I would have liked us to have paid less but I'm not complaining at all when you see Lallana going for £25m.

Good point, are there any more incoming's? do you think the la with the cleanest shoes in Premiership football will play 3 at the back more often?

We're apparently looking to get Atsu in on loan from Chelsea, but that's been around for ages. We'll likely look for another winger and striker, with Brendan Galloway coming in to be our next John Stones.

I can definitely see us playing 352 more, especially against teams like Arsenal where packing the midfield means they can't play. We've got enough midfielders for it now.

I liked what I saw from him in the World Cup, frustrating end product but looks a talent.

Everton building quite the team.

they have europa league to cope with so they need depth. not easy to play on thursdays and sundays or saturdays.

I think Everton have a team that could potentially win that tournament, if they win it they are in the Champions League.

If they did, what happens to 4th place team?

Yes but, they will not be as good in the Premier League as last season due to that fixture congestion and getting CL spot for winning EL.

If Everton win the Europa League and finish outside the top 4 then England will have 5 representatives in the Champions League next season.

I think it's a great incentive and makes the Europa League more valuable.

Agreed. Most sensible thing UEFA have done in years. Teams that are in it this season (even those who drop into it out of the CL) will try harder to win it with the prize of a place in the 2015/16 CL at stake. Am I right in thinking that the Europa League winners this season go straight in the group stages of the CL the following season?

I was hoping that they would replace 4th place - who happened to be united.
That would be funny!
