    £15m for winning the league

Let's be clear about this, we only got (roughly) £750k MORE for winning the league than utd got for losing it, and they got £750k more than Arsenal. The real suffering comes for the teams who've never been in the Prem, or haven't since the parachute payments scheme started a few years ago.

If we had only won 2-1 at the swamp......

What do you think this is? UEFA? No we have a good old fashioned water balloon fight between fans on the banks of the Irwell. Wettest side loses.

Chelsea or Spurs in CL - what is better for us?

As I understand it from people who know more than me, as regards the group stages, it's better for us if Chelsea don't win the CL, because if they do, they or we might get "paired" with utd for TV, which could put us in a worse position.

    Hopes for next season?

To be absolutely honest, anything less than winning the league for the next 17 seasons in a row will be a heck of a disappointment. But if we can win it every year for a while, just long enough that utd begin to collapse financially, Liverpool get Mourinho in and pip us to another title before...

Shall I give you a couple of hours to watch Inception before you realise what actually happened?

Re: It's just a picture. It's a shame the club's statement wasn't "We don't really understand the joke. Ferguson isn't dead."

The despair Is Deepening-Only 20,000 Turned Up At The Parade

Let's put some perspective on this. The police said "200,000" went to London to protest the war - whereas unofficial figures reckoned a million people (in short, a lot higher than the police). A million people is a serious, serious fuckton of people and anyone who's been to Wembley will surely...

Anyone in Albert Square yet ???

I gather their media team has an endless loop of a desert with a tumbleweed to play til August. It sounds like a step up from their usual programming.

Terry "f***wit" Christian and Ian Cheeseman

He was on Radio 5 earlier, sober and quite pragmatic about the one blue of his siblings who he says probably supports City because of his brothers' belligerence. Just desserts

    NOT IN MY LIFETIME

This. Long enough to see us win our 20th is perhaps pushing his luck a bit.

I hope we don't win the title next season

I totally agree. I sincerely hope we are fighting Spurs and Newcastle instead of the rags.

New Club Crest with 4th Star

It's a homage to the 1980s film production studio, TriStar. Their flying horse looked out of place coming out of the crest so they swapped it for a subtle hint.

    FFP

To be fair, utd still make an operating profit, so they are in fact living within their quite clearly lavish means, and they're only £450m in debt, or at least that's what a recent piece on English clubs' debts said. Unlike Chelsea, whose debt is about £750m. I think they or one of the Russian...

    People Leaving STILL

I put everything in life down to an educational experience, and after the sheer hilarity of watching Pearce miss that spot kick in 01(?), and Fowler miss that spot kick in 04(?), I was happy to be further educated in what it feels like to stand in solidarity with 40,000 despondent but humble...

    Pitch Invasion?

The ones who ran on after Sergio scored.... stupid, mindless, idiotic, selfish, etc..... but absolutely justified at the final whistle I don't regret going on the pitch at MR after the Wigan game in 99 - it wasn't even a trophy win, we were just delighted to have done enough to reach Wembley...

Have you seen some of the comments from neutrals!?

It's been humbling, but I can't say I'm surprised. I do wonder what all these neutrals' reactions would have been if JT hadn't slipped in Moscow. Probably "take that Ronaldo you sad bastard". As it was I think they all politely applauded and said "oh well". I mainly felt sorry for Avram Grant...

    won it fair and square

utd threw their entire season in the last minute at the swamp, when they knew they were well beat. So?

Who is getting a tattoo then?

The girl I saw out fo the corner of my eye, about 19, shoulder length dark hair, stood down on the front of EL207 block at the end, with the skinny white top and the "Superbia in Proelio" cursive tattoo on her left shoulder, not only did I think "nice tattoo, and she also has rather attractive...
