    Who actually owns City?

Your memory is good. It was 90%/10% 21/9/08 - City v Portsmouth 6-0... Shinawatra raises Khaldoon's arm aloft at the front of the directors box. Khaldoon hated it and is quoted as saying he looked back on that day knowing he had to take over Shinawatra's 10% and have full control 21/09/09 -...

    Who actually owns City?

No, technically @Psychedelic Casual is correct. The share split with Silver Lake is at CFG level and CFG owns 100% of Manchester City FC Ltd.

    Who actually owns City?

18 months or so ago the wording on the website: CFG is majority owned by Newton Investment and Development LLC, with significant minority shareholdings held by Silver Lake (14.54%) and China Media Capital (CMC) Consortium (8.24%) Current wording on the website: CFG is majority owned by Newton...

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

I loved the headline and I agree in many respects an excellent article. The "defeated UEFA" link is clumsy and horrible but the rest of that section is fine with me and totally ok to mention the charges etc. My takeaway was that Soriano's election was a sure sign that City aren't the pariahs...

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

I can live with it because of the headline - how often have you seen one like that below? I love it. Also the small print below the Etihad image would boil some piss if it was more visible. Wallace doesn't mention that the arena is a joint venture with Oak View so only 50/50 on the £365mil...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Fair enough and good for you. I could post comments attributed to Wilson that you would would rail against but no big deal. I mean, you didn't have a problem once with David Conn and Rob Harris either but changed your tune :)

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I love it when you and the other usual suspects talk dirty. Brilliant sir.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Plumley has written a book with his sheffield hallam colleague Dr Rob Wilson. Wilson was quoted in the original Der Spiegel leaks and is often "rent a quote" for the likes of Delaney.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I've no issue with the guy who has posted the video - positive, confident, 100% pro-City etc. I wish him well and I see he has 5000 subscribers to his channel so has got a lot of support. The problem is FFP/CAS/PL Charges stuff is very complex and highly technical. Unfortunately some of his...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Thoughts on the document he refers to (not the video)? @projectriver If you've not seen, here is the link: https://shura.shu.ac.uk/32115/1/2023_ISLR_Issue_3_Print_Ioannidis_Plumley.pdf NB As others have said, you seem to have covered all this before on spaces, your article and podcasts.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

In theory he should get the support of other PL clubs. If he is 1 of the 7 elected to the board from the 9 candidates, it is safe to assume he has their support. If he isn't elected then clearly we remain pariahs. All clubs work out of self-interest. It is in the interest of the other PL clubs...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Levy and Soriano put themselves up last time (2021) for 1 of 3 places. Soriano had the support of Chelsea and some Spanish clubs. Levy won and had most support from other PL clubs including United, Liverpool & Arsenal. Previously (before Super League fiasco) Woodward was the serving PL...

    Interesting silly City facts.

From 68/69 to 88/89 City won more major trophies (4-3) than United From 00/01 to 22/23 City won more major trophies (17-16) than United

The luckiest City fans in our history

Been here before with you on this and agree with you 18/19 > 17/18 14 x 90 = 1260 minutes of football. We were behind for just 1 of them at Brighton in the last game. All 14 games we were winning with at least 20 minutes to go. Only conceded 4 goals in the 14 games.

Amazing stuff. Think you should give @BlueCityBrain on X/Twitter the credit for this m8. He's established himself as the "go to" for all his transfer spend info. He posts on here as well but can't remember his handle. Anyone know? Edit: @BlueBrain on here

    City bets 2023/24 season

Longest odds today for a city win in a home league game that I've seen for ages - decimal 1.98. So, close to evens. Longest last season were Arsenal and Liverpool home games - in the 1.50-1.60 range.

    31 | Ederson - 2023/24

The Athletic gets lots of heat in the media thread, often with good reason, but some of the tactical stuff is excellent. Brilliant example here with this article about our tactics against man to man. Ederson is the focus of the article and a reminder of how his distribution is unparalleled...

    Mission to Burnley

Yep - great watch from the point Vinny came into it. Didn't think my view on VK could go any higher. He's a one off and what a man. Surprised to see him having so much input in the board meetings. Then again he is multi-talented and his Business MBA comes in handy. You are right - the owners...
