IMO he’s had a very decent first season. Been one of our better players in many games. Was bought for a relatively low fee, primarily as a backup, and he’s done what you expected him to do. He’s never been a player that racks up loads of goals and assists, so not sure what people really are...

Bullshit. On average he gets 0,83 goal or assists per 90. Close to one per game. One of very few players in the squad that can contribute with goals even if he’s not playing well. Been out of form lately, but so has many others

Apart from Kyle, Kovacic is the least dangerous player in front of goal in the whole squad. No idea why he was picked for the pens, should be the 10th man for a pen. Really like him, but apart from his 1 annual screamer he doesn’t know how to score goals

Shouldn’t rule out West Ham taking a lower fee. Given he’s on a 5 year contract, his yearly amortization is 10.2m. In other words, a 74.8m transfer fee this summer would equal the accounting profit if he was sold for his 85m release clause last summer (assuming no add-ons were triggered)
