    Newcastle post match thread

And the dozy “toon army” cheering wildly to get a throw-in (although, to be fair, that was about the most positive aspect of their play for 80 minutes)

    Newcastle post match thread

What a weird game. Newcastle’s tactics were the most negative I think I’ve ever seen. Not only the 10 men behind the ball throughout the whole game, but unlike the other teams that’ve done that this season, they weren’t even interested in trying to grab something on the break for the first 80...

    Newcastle away

Live up in the NE and looking for a ticket for Newcastle. Will be heading to the ground on the off chance of getting in with the Blues but will go in the home end if I can’t get one! PM me if anyone’s bringing a spare with them :)

Players targeted / Leg breaker hack on Sterling and kdb

Alli on KDB: is this the start of a pre-meditated, sustained assault by England players on Belgium players to give ourselves a fighting chance in the summer?!

    Media Thread 2017/18

Yeah, that's the one, you're right. They're just so desperate for us to fit their invented narrative about us

Wasn't there another classic? Can't remember who was fouled, but one of our players was clipped and a free kick was given, and it was described as "only just a foul". Only just a foul? WTF does that mean? It's a foul or it isn't (and it was). It's implying that fouls against City aren't proper...

    CL draw - Basel

If you're staying at a hotel in Basel, you usually get a free "local transport" ticket, which is valid on buses and trams.

    Swansea (a) pre-match thread

Think the press conference shows the ignorance of the British press. One very short question about Vinny, nothing else at all asked about the forthcoming game as they were all so busy trying to stoke up the post-Rags drama. Only the question in Spanish seemed to show any interest in footballing...

    Your first City match?

Just before my ninth birthday, January 1981, FA Cup 4th round. Man City 6 - Norwich City 0. I thought that's how every game would be....less than three months later, I shed my first tears over a City result thanks to "Tommy Hutch"!

    Southampton Post Match Thread

Amazing. Two games showing the never-give-in attitude and brilliant team spirit any would-be Champions need. One thing nobody else seems to have mentioned. Just watched the brief highlights, and surely the cross for Southampton‘s goal goes out of play...?

    Bus Parking...

The substitutions were spot on. We effectively moved to a 1-5-4 to counter their 0-4-6!

Indeed. Quite a few typos in the full report >:(

    Away games in home end

I do this quite a lot as I rarely have points to get a City ticket away from home. And often I'm not sure I'll be able to get to a game. I've always found it reasonably easy to suppress my excitement when City score; it's looking happy when the opposition score that's difficult. Some lowlights...

Ahh! Happy Days! I was drinking Blue Moon in a pub full of Geordies when we won the league in 2012. I ended up with about 5 free pints lined up, bought by complete strangers!! Still got the glass somewhere....

Sergio Agüero | Manchester City's All Time Top Goalscorer

Wow....this is well worth a watch. Is there any striker around who scores such an amazing variety of goals? Delicate headers, 2-yard tap-ins, thundering screamers from 30 yards and sublime goals from impossible angles....and the way he finds space wherever he is during an attack is just...

For the stat geeks..this is the best City side in history

The league table prediction makes exciting reading - if games go to form, we win the league by 10 points! The "spread" of total points outcomes even goes over 100 points now :)

For the stat geeks..this is the best City side in history

Great site. I've just wasted an hour faffing about with different team stats. I like ELO ranking as a way to rank teams or competitors. It means each individual game gives different points depending on the respective ELO rank of the teams, and so drawing with a team way below your own rank is...

Local teams in FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round 14th Oct

Great to see Hyde in the first round again. In the early 80s, my Grandad used to come to get me and we'd go and watch Hyde, if I wasn't going to Maine Road with my Dad. I still remember going to the first round FA Cup game against Burnley at Turf Moor, after which Burnley promptly bought their...
