I don't necessarily disagree, but this goes back to way before Covid and is pretty common knowledge how what type of company they are. If anything, Covid has made them (marginally) more flexible. I'll continue to book them for personal travel, but I'd never spend a significant amount on their...

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Going on the light blue, which is new cases, it shows 235k (doesn't come across very clear on the pic when mixed in with the dark blue) but I thought that seemed unusually high....I've since read elsewhere that it was around the 100k mark so much more inclined to believe that than 235k. Give it...

Is this accurate, that America recorded 235k cases yesterday?!

That's fair enough, but when the cost of a PCR test in most European countries is capped at 75 Euro (about £65 quid), yet some companies over here still charge hundreds, then it's clear we are being ripped off. They could reduce the price significantly and still make plenty of £££ on every test.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Sadly very true. Prices are capped in Europe (something like 30 euro max for an antigen and 75 euro max for a PCR), but as it's not regulated here we literally have our pants pulled down. It's not quite as bad anymore but some places, particularly in London, will still charge hundreds for a...

In theory, nothing I don't think.

Unfortunately not. Needs to be a paid for test; either one purchased here and taken with you or bought locally over there in France. Assuming you're not going anywhere too far off grid then I'd say just to arrange it over there at a local pharmacy or similar.

I think you'll be ok. They don't have enough hotel quarantine rooms to be throwing major European countries on the red list. Hence France going 'amber +' last month....the capacity just wasn't there to shift it to red. I think it would have to take something seriously major to happen Covid...

Ding ding ding. (that was me mimicking a bell, and not calling a certain poster a ding!) So.....anyone got any holidays booked?

7+1 is indeed 8. That abacus was a sound investment.

I'm back? I haven't gone anywhere. I said it would be tomorrow when I stick you on ignore. Gives you all night to post your inane ramblings and put random words in bold. Perhaps it's hard to decipher posts properly when you're sozzled so I'll let you off.

    Covid and travel discussion

Incoherent ramblings whilst accusing other posters of being on drugs. I'm sure the irony isn't lost on you. I do indeed look forward to my next 7 overseas travel adventures, and the 7 after that, and the 7 after that.... Next one, all being well, is at the end of this month. I'll raise a...

    Covid and travel discussion

You're like the old, incoherent, drunk relative that everyone dreads getting stuck with at Christmas. Anything else before I pop you on 'ignore' tomorrow? You'll be my first, I hope you're ''fooking'' honoured.

At 9.40.....''Stop traveling the globe in pandemic and protect people if your aware of the risk''. Again you're saying be nice to people as you continue to abuse a forum poster.....but I'm the hypocrite right? It would be extremely hypocritical of me to say to anyone not to go abroad...but I...

    Covid and travel discussion

Do we think that the rule change from 16th regarding isolation removal will also apply to arrivals coming back from abroad? I've not seen or read anything that confirms it either way. As we saw from Porto and other trips people have taken, it's very easy to get the dreaded call or text from...

    Covid and travel discussion

You're telling people to stop travelling the globe, whilst simultaneously admitting to looking at travelling in September.....yet I'm the hypocrite? Again with the double digit for travel, please stop making stuff up. I don't know where you have got that from but it's completely incorrect. As...

    Covid and travel discussion

Double figures? Incorrect. Why are you making stuff up? Not leaving Europe hardly constitutes ''travelling the globe''. Of the foreign trips I have taken since July 2020, only one (Porto in May) has been since the vaccines have been released. I'm really not sure what point you are trying to...

    Covid and travel discussion

So you've gone from telling people about some good Jet2 deals at 5pm, to telling people to stop ''travelling the globe'' 11pm. Nicely done. It's nice to be nice after calling me a **** lol. Seems you have a bee in your bonnet about being pulled up for a ridiculous question. PS, do the decent...

It's lessens not lessons. Sounds like you need lessons though. It was a ridiculous question and called out as such. As for your other bollocks, west didsblue has answered succinctly.

    Covid and travel discussion

It's not a fair question, it's actually quite a crass question. Are you suggesting that double vaccinated people should stay home for the rest of their lives? Millions of people in this country have done the decent thing and been fully vaccinated to help protect themselves and others; this...
