Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

This was by far the best Sterling I’ve seen at Chelsea and he’s been pretty good this season. Superb today.

Bloody hell. What a game. I actually felt we should have won that. But a point against the best team in the world is a good point.

First of all, I’m not bragging. Im correcting someone. Please consider the context of my posts. Secondly, they were all over us the first 20 mins. We got on top in the game the next 10 and by the time they self imploded we were well on top, so I disagree that they were battering us 11 v 11...

Ha :) I’m just being honest. I think we will lose but I don’t think it’s a game that we have no chance of winning. I think we have the enough weapons to hurt you. It’s a long shot though. City are probably the best team in the world at suffocating teams into submission.

I mean we beat them 4-1 and created 3-4 other sitters, so I don’t think true that we could ‘barely damage’ Spurs. Us being profligate is our biggest problem. Anyway, it doesn’t change the fact that I feel optimistic going into this game. I think we’re going to lose but I think we can win.

    Chelsea (A) - Sun 12th Nov, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

When we came out of the last international break, and everyone was talking about this tough stretch of games we had coming up, City at home was the one game I had down as guaranteed loss. I feel optimistic about this game. I think we can do some damage in the counter. If we can somehow stifle...

I actually think the game was going to even out. They were on top the first 15 mins, we were on top the following 10 mins and then they completely imploded. Before the game I had this down as a 1-1 and the way the game was going before the first red card, I still think it would have ended in a draw.

We've been linked with Toney and Osimhen but for me I have PTSD when it comes to big money strikers. I have been burnt by Shevchenko, Torres, Morata and Lukaku. Both Toney and Osimhen look like certified flops if they join Chelsea :) I do like Jackson though. He's raw and very inexperienced...

I actually think Gallagher offers a really nice balance next to Enzo and Caicedo.

He was quiet but I’d say a disaster is probably overstating it a bit.

Thanks mate. It was a bonkers game but to be fair you do have a habit of losing your heads against us :) I actually do agree with you about the offsides. I was saying to my mate as they were checking Son’s goal that I hate it when they chalk off super duper tight offside goals like that. Son...

    Spurs Thread - 2023/24

I don’t think this is true. We had gotten on top for like 10 mins before Spurs lost their heads. Had two goals disallowed and we had a 1 v 1. They started like a runaway train but once we weathered the storm, we had started to get on top we completely deserved the equaliser. After that they...

But you're wrong lol. He wasn't hooked. He had been limping around for like 5 minutes prior to being subbed. I know you don't rate him, so I'm not surprised by your take here. You're just wrong about why he subbed :)

Yeah the decision making from Sterling, Jackson and Mudryk was awful most of the game. I agree with you about how the game was going before they lost their heads. They peppered us for 15 mins and got a flukey goal out of it but from the 15th minute to the first red card I felt like we were...

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

It didn't. We took the lead 20 mins after they were down to 9 and we had least two sitters where we timed the run and the pass perfectly but the players just fluffed their lines. Obviously, it's a young team so the longer it took to get the cushion 3rd goal the less confident they looked and the...

Yep that's true. We were growing into the game. We had two goals disallowed and Jackson missed a sitter before Romero was sent off. I felt like we were getting on top when Spurs self-imploded.

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

Yes but we were getting out timings wrong. It's not like they didn't know what to do. The timings was just off. The first 15-20 mins after the second red the attacker would either run offside or he'd time his run right but the ball was overhit. Once we found the sweet spot, as I said, we were...

I don't know what everyone's moaning about. I guess you don't practice for scenarios vs 9 men. It took us a bit of time of sort out our runs and through ball timings and once we did that we were getting in on goal every 2 mins. Spurs in the exact same situation against Liverpool created...
