Luton Town (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Yeah I agree. Thought it was fatal them playing one on one against Haaland all night. Just shows why he normally has two or three on him.

No Phil, no Rodders and the best attacking performance from us for yonks. No idea what to conclude after that!

Is Pep close to a touchline ban?

Just an update on this. It looks like the rules have changed for 2023-24 and it is now a one game touchline ban for every three yellow cards for managers. I've edited the thread title to remove the "two game" ban reference. The commentators again talked about Pep being one yellow off a ban...

Is Pep close to a touchline ban?

Ok thanks, that confirms what I thought. Clueless commentator!

Is Pep close to a touchline ban?

Thanks, I also thought it was 8 for a two game ban but wondered if it had been reduced to 7 (like the 4 yellows were reduced to 3 for a one game ban). But either way, I don't think Pep's on 6 or 7 yellows as of today so I'm hoping the commentator got it wrong. It wasn't Sky that I was watching.

Is Pep close to a touchline ban?

Apologies if this is elsewhere but I can't find it. When I was watching last night, the commentator said that Pep was only one more yellow away from a two game touchline ban. Is that correct?I've been googling and can't find the up to date stats or the latest rules. I know he got a one game...

Briliant news! What's the betting Salah fucks off to Saudi in the summer, too?

When / why did you become a City fan?

This save from Joe Corrigan in 1977. I'm not from Manchester, I'm from the south Midlands where there are no top tier football teams. I was 9 years old and everyone at my primary school had Man Utd, Liverpool or Villa bags. Not sure I can even say this on here - please be kind - I had some...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

They knocked us out of the Champions League in 2018. I'd like to erase those two very unpleasant nights from my memory but sadly I can't. I'm surprised you've managed it, the first leg was when the feral rats attacked our team bus.

    The Title Race - 2023/24

I agree with the trade-offs comment. Doku doesn't track back like Jack and I don't think he has the same stamina. Jack's by far the better defender. Doku's pace going forward over 3-5 yards is electric but he seems to get outpaced every time when chasing back over 20-30 yards.

    The Title Race - 2023/24

I can see the title being won with 87-88 points this year. Looking at our remaining fixture list, I can see where 45 points are coming from but to get 48 means we're most likely going to have to win at either Anfield or Spurs. Obviously, doing the Dippers would be preferable!

Funny stats to upset United fans

Phil Foden has the same number of major trophies (16) at age 23 as Rooney got in his entire career.

Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Great second half performance from just about everybody but especially Phil. Really starting to show his class in the central role. As an ex keeper, I couldn't help making a comparison tonight. Eddy pulls off a world-class save to stop us going two down which could have been curtains and...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Awww, that's somebody's wish list to Santa you're all laughing at! Poor little redshirt, don't tell them Santa isn't real, you'll spoil their Xmas... I'm relying on us being Club World Champions to really spoil their Xmas :-)

City’s Premier League Era Flop XI

Nasri??? 30+ appearances for four consecutive seasons and a key part of our first PL title winning team. I know he was a bit of a moody sod but that doesn't make him a flop.

Young Boys Champions League (A) | Man of the Match

Rico good, Rodders excellent but Jack showed the extra control we have when he's on the pitch, unlucky not to get at least one assist. Hope he starts on Sunday.

Arsenal (A) - PL Post Match Thread

If you saw the replay, Rico handled the ball when he fell on it so no way was that going to get given even if the ref had played advantage.

Arsenal (A) - PL Post Match Thread

Lot of overreaction on here blues, I reckon. Yes we've been shit for the last two PL games but we've only lost to deflected goals. I seem to recall thinking we look totally anaemic going forward around this time of the season every year. So, here we are again. They'll sort it out. Apart from...

What players do you remember and what players do you forget that you remember?

Crocky Santa Cruz. Hard to decide who was the biggest sick note striker out of him and Jovetic. Actually I've just checked - even Jovetic played more than Crocky. But the winner is... Valeri Bojinov with 11 games in 3 years!

What players do you remember and what players do you forget that you remember?

I remember Eike Immel. I was in hospitality at Anfield (a mate worked for Carlsberg and got freebies) when we got tonked 6-0 under Alan Ball. They gave man of the match to Eike for pulling off four world-class saves!
