    Media Discussion - 2023/24

That BBC story is a pathetic. If that is being published today with an obvious presumption of guilt throughout, then I’m finding it hard to believe City sent out any legal letters recently to mainstream media.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I remember sacking off Setanta Sports when they had a short period covering Premier League games due to that **** Burley being the main man there. Seems to have behaved more recently but obviously still dick.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You could be right - but if this is the case then they are gonna have to own it at some point. Whether that’s admitting now or in the Autumn after whatever hearing is now taking place.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

That’s a bit of an overreaction. There will be a 3 week delay opening the Arena and a handful of gigs postponed or rearranged. The last minute cancellations were embarrassing but will all be forgotten once it’s up and running and punters see how good the gig experience in the bowl is. The...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not keen on either - but they will be the first to get anything from the Premier League side. If they are writing that the hearing is taking place as scheduled in Autumn they I would believe that.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ziegler wrote it in the Times on Saturday - Ornstein is second hand -I’m not sure where it was - saw a few people on Friday mention he had earlier stated the hearing was going ahead as scheduled so it may have been on a podcast

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ornstein and Ziegler who are the two most reliable main stream journos on these topics ( and goto for the PL with leaks ) have both stated this weekend there has been no change - and hearing will be held in the Autumn.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ratcliffe views a relationship with Khaldoon far more important than John Henry or Kroenke. The unfortunate thing is there is new group with arsenal Spurs LFC and a collection of other PL teams enjoying the rise in status. It’s that group which is driving all the recent rule changes

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Does anybody know who is behind this post. Seen it a few times but difficult to know how true it might be not knowing who wrote it.

The problem for OVG was that they were will have been approached by promoters with loads of touring artists looking for May and June dates. If they had launched later in the Summer like they should have done those artists and their tours would have been and gone - with not much happening in...

What a surprise that the Echo headline has Encrochat Grandad jailed - nothing about LFC

Bits of air conditioning units falling into the bowl is not bad luck. It’s negligence. They are lucky it didn’t happen during the show otherwise they would be shut for months. Not sure who the responsibility lies with but this this shit show can’t get any worse. They should cancel everything...

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Sorry but tonight is absolutely unforgivable. The Twitter message from Co Op Luve to leave the area absolutely disgusting as well. Heads should be rolling all over the shop as this is an absolute joke - and they deserve all the shit they are gonna get. Where are Oak View ?

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

There are a lot of strange things going on with the current pile on on the Co Op on social media. I’d put money on the AO Arena being behind some of the bot like characters posting negatively to everything the Co Op posts. Twitter handles with a name and loads of numbers never posted before -...

    North Stand Construction Discussion

My problem is 1894 do not have enough active members to be representing supporters. I saw a post the other day where they were acting on a poll of 300 responses ! 300 !!! that cannot possibly be a enough to be representing supporters in meetings with the club. There is no alternative with...

Benjamin Mendy settles tax bill with HMRC

Footballing bankruptcies are normally on the back of divorces. Mendy was different as his income was pulled and he would still have a huge mortgage and massive tax bill to pay - and he obviously didn’t have easily accessible assets to cover them until the house sold. Once sold he was fine...

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

Herbert just gets wheeled out to write snide City pieces. The ‘grubby club’ as he likes to call us. Funny how he didn’t get one of the fantasy cease and desist letters that supposedly sent to all our detractors.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I can assure you both that whilst I hold my hand up to being grumpy i certainly don’t want us to be shit. My earlier comment was highlighting that we had dozens of giddy posts on here at the weekend thinking there was a gonna be a sea change of coverage because City had finally started to send...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I see Ian Herbert has written a snide City piece about financial ‘gymnastics’ in the Mail which indicates all the weekend noise about legal letters and the media being pulled into line is a load of bollocks.

Funnily enough had just read that Rudd piece in today’s Times and thought it stuck to the facts which is unusual for her !
