    Trevor Francis RIP

It was Neville Southall….and I’m not sure he even connected….but Southall went down like he had been shot.

Often used to see the two of you rock up to away matches in the 90s in a Radio Manchester vehicle

    Istanbul flag

A real horrible blue sat behind me ….as obnoxious as they come with his teenage son (who was surprisingly ok) was helping himself to white flags from the empty seats….about 90 mins before Kick off. A real knobhead who then got interviewed by a UEFA film crew at half time. Some real selfish...

    1969/70 - Man City v West Brom (League Cup Final - 7.3.70)

No….definitely Watford gap Steve……we must have been on the same coach though…..from the Nags Head ?

    1969/70 - Man City v West Brom (League Cup Final - 7.3.70)

My second Wembley final in 2 years at the age of 9…….thought it would be a regular trip. Went with my dad and the Fieldsend coach broke down at Watford gap. We sat down just as Astle scored. Time obviously plays tricks because I could have sworn both City’s goals were scored at the same end and...

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

I think he has lost that little bit of hunger (it started at a couple of years ago at City) One it’s gone it’s very hard to get it back. He isn’t the most gifted technically and can’t afford to drop his levels. Playing in a diabolical Chelsea team obviously isn’t helping .

    Samir Nasri interview

Perfect Pep player…..didn’t give the ball away. Although not my favourite manager he played his best football for City under Pellegrini especially in the year we won our second premiership. What a midfield that was….Nasri, Silva , Fernandinho and Yaya. Could have achieved so much more however...

    Tottenham Thread - 2022/23

Harry Kane is afforded the same kind of protection in the press that Liverpool and United receive …no problem with the sending off tonight but anyone else going down ‘poleaxed’ like Kane tonight after little more than a slap would be slaughtered both on Sky and in the press.

No mention of Fabinho though….who gets away with far more than Ferny ever did

    Newcastle (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

The first 15 minutes of the second half we started to lose control of the game until De Bruyne was subbed….then suddenly we started to press them again….something we don’t seem to do with De Bruyne in the team. There is no room for sentiment and as fantastic as De Bruyne has been, we don’t...

Match Thread | Bristol City vs Man City FA Cup (28/02/23)

At one time I would always fancy De Bruyne to find his man when breaking forward but now it’s very rare that he picks that pass. Hope it’s temporary but and it’s a legacy of the World Cup…..but he should not be considered an automatic starter at the moment. and right on queue he produces one

RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

With regards to substitutions....If I remember correctly Pep was one of the advocates for the 5 Sub rule.......then the accusations were that it would benefit the bigger clubs with deeper squads because they would have better players to bring on........it's almost as though Pep is now reacting...

    Arsenal Thread - 2022/23

And why what wasn't it replayed and replayed (Rodri v Everton) or debated. Same as Old Trafford yesterday with the slanted line they used for VAR ....and again not really replayed

Nottingham Forest (A) | Post Match Thread

Awful from DeBruyne today….could not make a simple pass…and the less said about his shooting. Brilliant as though he can be…..I think a lot of our problems are to do with Kev. Watch the 36th minute in the match because it sums us up….Kev had a simple pass to play Foden in which he didn’t...

    Media thread 2022/23

From the day Pep started with us there were stories about him leaving and his next job etc. For Pep now read Haaland.........great that some of these stories were slapped down by his team last week Carragher, Tyler, Neville et al all jumping on the bandwagon. Pure jealousy driven by the...

Dias man of the match for me. If Pep gets us over the line with this team which is probably past it’s best….. I think it’s his greatest triumph yet at City.

Match Thread | Arsenal vs Man City (15/02/23)

The still they used for the offside was slightly after I think Walker had passed the ball….or am I looking at it through blue tinted glasses ?
