Match Thread | Man City vs Leicester Comm Shield (07/08/21)

Those digital numbers on the uniforms are horrific. I have no doubt that I am the very first person to point this out

    It's Quiet Thread 15 - Txiki Blinders

Not that I think we'd sell but I can see why Athletico would want Bernardo. He would fit perfectly there. His work rate is ridiculous and he did his best attacking work as an inverted winger in a 442 at Monaco.

    #17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2020/21 Performances

My memory isn't what it was but I remember him single handedly carrying us past PSG 5 years ago. That was our worst team of the past decade and we gifted them a goal on a harmless back pass. De bruyne won it anyway.

Muric ‘sent home by Kosovo for turning up drunk’

There's no way sniffing lines before a match would be performance enhancing. Maybe for the first 10 minutes if you didn't have a heart attack first. Sounds awful.

    Erling Haaland

When we were smashing all domestic goal scoring records it was with Aguero as a true striker. Our dominance this year belies the fact that our scoring is down significantly from the last 3 years. Not to mention we have 3 of the very best crossers in the world in De Bruyne, Bernardo, Mahrez. I...

    #47 | Phil Foden - 2019/20 Performances

I'd like to see Foden get all of Gundogan's minutes at the 8. Use Ilkay as a back up to Rodri exclusively. But what do I know.

    Premier League Games 31/Aug & 1/Sept

I think Ceballos is going to be a superstar. I've liked him since watching him dominate the U-21 Euros (or whatever it was) a couple of years back. With Modric getting old and Kroos getting shit he might just get a chance at Real next season.

    Bournemouth (A) Post Match Thread

I just wanted to mention what an incredibly punchable face Harry Wilson has.

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

An ACL tear is hardly a career threating injury. This is 2019 for fucks sake. He'll be back to his normal self this time next year at the latest.

    Players who might improve us

I think he'd be great for us. If Sane goes, or is out for the year, we could definitely do worse than adding cheap CB depth.

    Rodri - 2019/20 Performances

I can only remember him losing the ball once. It was when Walker left him out to dry in the box. Wasnt his fault at all. I thought he looked very good.

    United thread 2019/20

Lukaku has 37 goals in his last 39 caps for Belgium. That's pretty incredible. Yea he's surrounded by great players, but he would be at any good club team too. His failings are about United being shit more than anything.

2019 Pre Season Friendlies | Sat 27th July - Liverpool vs Napoli

Atletico look like scoring every time they have the ball. Real just getting torn apart.

2019 Pre Season Friendlies | Sat 27th July - Liverpool vs Napoli

Atletico up 6-0! against Real in the 51st minute. Both teams playing at close to full strength. Felix looking very good.

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Maybe we gave him a lowball offer and hes betting on himself to tear it up this season. Then he can sign a much better contract in 6 months or a year.

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

I have no idea where to find reliable salary numbers. I'm basing it off unreliable reports, to be sure. Maybe were offering Sane 300k a week and he still wont sign, and I'm just ignorant of the facts. Losing Sane would be a hell of a lot worse than losing Walker though. Everyone says he had...

Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Theres a whole lot of room between KDBs deal and what Sane is reportedly being offered. We just gave Kyle Walker 180k per week. If I'm Sane theres no way in hell I'm signing for less than that. From a players perspective it would seem ridiculous to be valued at 100m on the transfer market...

It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

I agree that Walker is a limited player. Personally I think hes a glaring weakness, and probably the easiest position for us improve upon. But apperently the powers that be feel differently. The type of financial commitment that Walker was given is a statement. It doesnt really make sense to...

It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

He hasnt played more than 25 league games in any of the last 3 seasons. He is 36. I think the issue would be whether he thinks he'll play in the big games.

It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

It makes sense in light of Walkers new contract. Hes probably one of, if not the highest paid fullback in the world. It never really made sense to bring Cancelo in along side him. Alves would likely be happy getting only 20-25 games at his age. I could see him being very useful against...
