    PSG

The only way they will get through FFPR is by using the "demonstrating improved revenues and having a plan to get to sustainability" clause. Their figures for the next couple of years are going to be dire so if they are allowed in then we will walk it. Agreed there is a lot of potential for huge...

    Adebayour to spurs 8 mil?

Re: Adebayor I would imagine if we are letting him go for £5m then Spurs will have to pay a huge signing on bonus to make up for his loss in wages. If that signing on bonus is £6.5m then Ade's value comes out at £11.5m, a bit low but semi-reasonable - only issue is City will only see £5m of...

    Non City Related Rumours/Gossip.....

Re: It's quiet 10, no apologies! (continued) Look at the english ffs - "the deal was closed in 35m euros" and "we are glad to take in our team". Either their announcer is borderline retarded or it's some foreign WUM who can't speak english......

    PSG

Looks like FFPR is going to be blown out of the water by PSG. Their commercial and TV income is crap and they didn't even register on the top 20 Deloittes list, at least we were around 19th or something when we started spending :) I have no idea how they are going to show compliance to FFPR...

Champions League (now includes 2012 prize money)

Re: Champions League Not many delusional people on this thread for a change :p Seeing as we can't guarantee winning the FA or League Cup I think expecting to win the CL is dreaming. It took Baconface 12/13 years to win one and, as other have pointed out, Mourinho hasn't managed it with Real...

It's quiet 10, no apologies! (continued)

I can see us paying some club a third of a players wages until the end of their City contract to convince some players to make the move. Still, better to be paying a third of their wages and have a transfer fee come in than zero transfer fee and full wages :) Not too bothered about Kolo...

    Non City Related Rumours/Gossip.....

Will be interesting to see what happens. I'd guess Carroll got himself a mega-deal in terms of wages bearing in mind the purchase price. I'd expect that would put him out of the wage structure of pretty much anyone but the top clubs. Wonder if he'll be content to go on loan for a few years and...

    Nathan(iel) Clyne - Palace

I always thought he was a RB, if he is a LB then he'd be worth a punt for a couple of mill I guess. Oh well, I'm sure we'll see some movement soon.........

    Nathan(iel) Clyne - Palace

Unlikely we'd be in for another right back but this guy is out of contract and PL clubs sniffing. (Daily Fail however) <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2171916/Nathaniel-Clyne-sold-admit-Crystal-Palace.html?ito=feeds-newsxml"...

    Newcastle United thread 2012/13

Thats what amazes me about the rags - even when their players are so shite that even a blindfolded Stevie Wonder could see how bad they are they still manage to get reasonable transfer fees for them. I wouldn't have paid £3 for Obertan let alone £3m, I'm fucling convinced there is a mates...

    robin van persie (continued)

Oh, come on, worst first touch in the PL. The guy presents a reasoned argument backed up with actual statistics and this is the best response you can give. I'd say quite a few top teams would have him with his goalscoring record - maybe not Barca/Real but certainly the rags (he'd be ideal for...

    The transfer forum.

Benjani, almost missing signing because he fell asleep in an airport. Apart from that goal against the rags what a waste of money that was. I was always gutted we went for him and allowed Pompey to sign Defoe. OK, Defoe isn't top class but he'd have done a better job than bloody "smiler" Benjani.

    Nir Biton

Joe, Vinnie, Zabba, Clichy, AJ (maybe) were good deals/bargains Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Balo etc can't be classed as bargains to me. I define bargain as under £10m going on to be worth £15m+, at least doubling their value (hence AJ as maybe). The others were very good buys and worth every penny...

United thread 2012/13 (inc merged IPO thread)

Re: United thread 2012/13. In 08-09 (all comps). The only season they were playing together. Sturridge - 26 apps, 4 goals, 3 assists Evans - 25 apps, 1 goal, (no assists put on Wiki) That doesn't show minutes played or starts however

United thread 2012/13 (inc merged IPO thread)

Re: United thread 2012/13. 12 goals in 38 games playing for the league runners up (woop, woop), that's almost as good as Peter Crouch for Stoke who finished 14th (14 in 40). Having said that, I think they're taking the piss offering an england international who played in 38 games for them...

The official EDS and academy thread 2011/12

Isn't it 3 years in our academy under the age of 21 to qualify as homegrown & academy trained - I think Joe Hart just fails as he joined us at 19? For homegrown I'm pretty sure it's only 3 years under the age of 21 at any english club. Just checked, Clichy is 26 and joined Arsenal in 2003...

Rossi could go for as little as £12m

If we sold Tevez I'd be happy with Rossi coming in - I don't think Rossi plays golf? Balo, Dzeko, Rossi and Aguerooooooo! - doesn't sound too bad to me....
